Pirates take Alaska 7-14-14!

OK, I got word back from DCL. :thumbsup2 It's $15 per person. Minimum 25, maximum 40 guests. Final decision due 2 weeks prior to sailing (June 30).

I currently have 5 signed up (me & DW, plus 3 guests who post more on the Facebook group).

Up to 9 people for the private mixology now. Let me know if you want to join us!

Do you know when and what day it will be? :woohoo:
Won't know anything until about 30 days pre sailing, and not sure exactly when I'd get a time/date. But I would ask/expect to get a time on one of the sea days. Hopefully first day after departing Vancouver.

Just booked this cruise really late....like toady. We are taking our almost 11 year old grandson on this cruise:cool1: Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful sites of Alaska. Where did you find private excursions?

Hi Margaret, You book your excursions on the Disney Cruise Site, or when you get on the ship. (I would opt for online). Enter your confirmation code and other info and it will show you a list of options from checking-in to excursions for each port.

If you have any other questions there is a group of us on Facebook. Just by chance I saw this post of yours today. You will usually get a quick reply if you ask over there. (See link below). :thumbsup2

Welcome!
You can google search for excursion operators in the ports, or look at what Disney offers and search for the same thing privately. We did that for my family, and saved a bunch since our 11-year old daughter gets child prices when booking privately but gets adult prices through Disney.

Will your grandson be visiting the Edge club? My daughter is so excited to try it out!

Hi jtkboston, I booked all my excursions through DSL because I didn't want to worry about getting to the next port if I missed my re- board time. I didn't have to pay the same price for my DGD when booking my adventures, but maybe that's because she's under 10. :cool1:

I think so since he will be 11 in August and going to middle school. In Arizona middle school starts at 6th grade.

Since his parents aren't coming, I'm leaving the shore excursion selections up to them. We like adventure..seaplanes and ziplining

Looking forward to seeing you and your daughter....Margaret

Margaret,

I can't remember what DCL page it was on, but did you know that you have to sign a form and it get notarized saying that you will be his guardian for the duration of his trip?

Hi everyone!

I am putting my FE gifts together and wanted to confirm - if you are on list 1 or 2 (I am on both) and do NOT live in the US - could you send me a PM with what country you are from? I would need your family name too so I can match it up on the FE list. If you already replied to me on FB - I have you already - Thanks!

I'm on lists 1 & 2 as well. You can find all my info on the lists. I too live North of the original Mouse House. What name do you go by on FB? PM me there. :thumbsup2

I have 4 people interested in the mixology class. cabin 5146. Tried to send you a private message. Please let me know if you got it

Thanks,
Kate

I got a call from DCL, the woman said 20 would be OK.

I've got 13 interested so far. I called to check, and 20 is the absolute minimum for private mixology. I have 13 signed up so far. So if you are interested and haven't told me yet, do so by July 1. If I don't have 20 by then, we'll have to sign up for one of the regular sessions once we board.
