Just wondering if anyone has done the 'Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage'? If so, what did you think of it? We are thinking about doing that with our 7 year old but I couldn't find any reviews of it. Thanks!

If I'm thinking correctly, it used to be called the Magical Fireworks Voyage.

There were a lot of goodies, and characters, Captain Hook, Mr Smee. Then we boarded boats to see Wishes from Seven Seas Lagoon and then view the Electrical Water Pageant albeit inverted. :) After we got off of the boat, there was Peter Pan greeting guests.

I definitely had a fun time.

OP thanks for asking and thanks for the review. I booked this as the kids Christmas surprise and we are doing it Christmas night. I was so excited to even get the reservation for it I never even thought to look and see what others had thought of it.

We did it in January. There were 5 adults and e DGC ages 5, 6 and 7. It was a lot of fun. There were goodies to eat, plenty of picture time with Captain Hook and Mr Smee as well as a host. Once on the boat, there were songs and trivia questions, and a perfect view of the fireworks. It was cold, freeezing that night, and lap blankets were provided. (There was ice on the Contemporary dock!)

When we got back, Peter Pan welcomed us and another picture taking opportunity.

I would do it again. DH and I had done it before when it was part of the GG experiences. I love seeing the fireworks from the water.

We did it last August with DS (7 at the time) and DD (4 at the time), and they loved it. You met up at the Contemporary for snacks and a "Met n Greet" with Hook and Smee. You can load up on as many snacks as you want and even throw a bunch in your backpack (brownies, cookies, smartfood, drinks, chocolate coins, granola bars, etc...). After that they split you into 2 groups and you are paired with a Pirate Guide (we had Nate the singer from Rusty Cutlass) and you go out on the boats. They take you out in front of Fort Wilderness to watch a pre Electric Light Water parade, and then you head out in front of the castle. The narrative that plays in the park during the fireworks is played in the boats. During the periods that you are going from one location to another the Pirate Guides are singing songs, and making jokes and even asking Disney trivia for prizes. Nate even posed for pictures with anyone that wanted. When you return to the dock Peter Pan is waiting to greet you for pictures and autographs.
