Does anyone know when POC will be reopening? Thought I had read 9/23 somewhere but have not seen anything about it opening. Thanks much and sorry if I missed it. It's our favorite attraction.

I heard something about next week? I sure hope it's open in a couple of weeks when I get there. They said there will be changes and since it's my FAVORITE ride, I MUST see what they are! Sorry you didn't get a chance to ride it....it will be there when you get a chance to go back!

I think the scheduled reopening is 9/26, at least according to the WDW calendar. Not sure if they have just not updated that or not yet.

My daughter and I did a 3 park hop 2 weeks ago. We started at MK....HM, BTMRR, SM and rode the train, took some photos and out we went. Last night she asked me randomly, "Why didn't we do Pirates?" I thought is was funny she just thought of it! It's always our first ride at MK! Next trip!

Has anyone been on the ride since it re-opened? I have read a couple reports that people are getting splashed/wet in the first couple rows.

I went on this last Sunday (9/27) and I didn't get wet sitting in the 3rd row. However, the ride malfunctioned at the loading dock for around 15 mins and boats got backed up when we were riding. We only got to ride it this one time during our trip due to outrageous standby lines or ride was temporarily closed. POTC has been really buggy this last week so it is still not entirely in the best operation.

Went on it a couple of days ago and probably will again tonight. Didn't notice the splashing like what happened a couple of years back when they put in the new boats
