Pirates of the Caribbean for a 9 month old? I've been hearing that with the new boats people are getting pretty wet. Also, what do you think about the drop for her?

It's about 2.5 fathoms tall. Most babies that age in my experience nap through it.

It'll be over before she knows it.

My 10 month old loved it my 2 yr old covered his eyes because he's afraid of the dark lol. @ 9 months old they are still lacking a lot of things toddlers know to fear its a great age to be adventurous IMHO!

Yeah I guess she won't even know the difference. I also have a 3 and 5 year old. Hopefully they will enjoy it!

My dd went on for the first time at 4 months. Happily cooed in my arms the whole time. Can speak for the new boats though. Can say I am a completely neuratic mother & it took a lot of convincing by dh to get on with her. She was too young to be frightened & it wasn't overly loud - so she found the dark & the boat soothing. Lol. Hervolder siblings joke that she loves disney so much because she subconsciously remembers it when she was a baby. Disney ia what she wanted to do for her sweet 16 & now we're all working on getting her on the only ride at dis she refuses to go on -TOT. ;)

My kid was 8 months the first time he was on it. I had him on my lap. The drop was fine but this is the first time I've heard of new boats.

WE rode it twice last week..Only got slight splash from water coming in the sides slightly..Seems water lever was slightly high causing water to SLIGHTLY splash in sides some. WE dried in minutes.

I rode it in January with my 10 month old dd and it was fine. I think only the front row end seats get slightly splashed, someone can correct me if I'm wrong though. I do not recall getting wet at all and I'm pretty sure we were there after the new boats were put in.

Hopefully I can calm your fears...I took my 5 week old last Sept. (and 16 month old at the time) on it and we all survived! She will be getting on again at 9 months in June and I am not a bit worried about it. Now...she has started to lean over and try to chew on table edges  and that is WAY more terrifying than POC.

Really though, I held her in my arms with a light blanket around her and sat in the middle of the front row and we only got a couple of splashes of water. She slept through all of it. The hill, while a little bumpy didn't even phase her.
