Pirates game - where do my points go?

I've been playing pirates off and on all day, and I've noticed that sometimes, not all the time, when my ship gets sunk I lose all my points. I just played a game, sunk two other ships, and won enough points that I should have gotten around 70 points, plus my team won the game so I should've gotten 170 total. But I only got 100, and that was the winning game bonus only. Everytime I got sunk, my points went down to zero.

I don't think this happens everytime. So is this a bug or is this supposed to happen? In the past I thought it had to do with computer players, but there weren't any in my last game.

Happens with all the characters.

I happen to love this new Pirate Game, but this is one feature that bugs the living daylights out of me: if your opponent sinks you, they get all the credits you've ammased in the round.

For me, it's pretty random. I think it's supposed to be that if the other player sinks you, they get half your points. Not sure what you're supposed to end up with though. When I've been sunk, sometimes I get zero, sometimes I get 3, and sometimes I get half of whatever I had before I got sunk. It's definitely not consistent at all. I still miss the old pirates game, to be honest. Another reason why I rely on fireworks for fun and to build up my credits and usually only play the other games for quests.

Nope. And yeah it doesn't happen every time. Which is why it confuses me so much, and it doesn't seem very fair. I earned those points, they shouldn't be taken away no matter what.

That is the whole premis behind the game, and getting out with all the credit is a partof several different strategies. ifyou sink them first you may wain but if they get a shot off before they are done they just might take all your credit. you take a certain amout per every hit on an opponant, Gold I think usually takes all. With AI you can never take there gold (which stinks and explains why if you start adding them peopl quit before you start) Everyone goes into the game with 7 credits per round ( you pony up 21 credit divide it by 3, where did you think the credit comes from) if you pick up helth then there is additional opportunities for the other team to get credit. anyway if you aren't good or are running a losing streak then it can be dissapointing but it is part of the fun. And think we are soon to get keys ARG! That should change the dynamics a little I mean think of the chance to use magic one time.

I'm not really sure what you said, but my problem isn't that I'm bad at the game. It's that I win points and the game takes the points away from me, but since it doesn't do it every single time, it doesn't seem to make sense.

I think it's supposed to be the theme of the game. You are a pirate! You're trying to pillage your opponent. Each regular player starts with 7 gold. If you hit that player you get some of that player's gold. If you sink them you get more. You've raided and destroyed their ship - of course you get their booty!

If someone sinks you - they get your booty!

If you survive a round your gold gets "banked". (I guess the analogy is that you get a chance to offload your spoils to some deserted island, so even if you sink the next round your treasure is waiting for later). Opponets who sink you can't get to your bank.

Whatever treasure you have banked or still have on your ship at the end of the game is what you win.

Of course, I think that's the idea behind it. I agree the numbers in the game seem random. Certainly whenever I play they are never consistant, especially when the game is over and I get my payment. I can never figure out for sure what I'm going to get... it's always a surprise!

AI Players are supposed to be worth less gold. And whenever they're in the mix the loose formulas I use to guess my payment go completely out the window. AI throws the game way off. My guess is the computer's too busy actually playing the game to do the math properly. LOL

It is as adventure described it..

If your in a sudden death face off and both you and your apponet (sp) both shoot to kill each other... If your the last two standing, whoever shoots first wins the game, but who ever shoots last gets the points....

Yes, I am pleased with the new features in the POTC game. Of course! But, the thing I am not pleased with is THIS. After all, they jump on yer ship, take the gold, and bomb the ship. Blasted pirates!
