Just wondering if anyone has ever been to the Pirates dinner theater. The kids are really into the pirate thing so I thought it would be cool to check it out. Just curious if anyone had any thoughts on it.
DH and I went about 2 years ago and it was ok but it doesn't get very good reviews from adults however the kids would really like it if they like pirates. There was a lot of kid interaction when we were there. So if you don't really care about the food, although the pre show snacks were good, then I think the kids would like the whole atmosphere. The seating surrounds a big pirate ship and there's a competition going on between the pirates. They ask for volunteers from the audiance (mostly kids) to help the pirates etc.
This question was asked a few weeks ago and here's the thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1504684
I went on our trip in May. It was cheesy, but fun. It was a bit long for my 5 y/o, but he still enjoyed it. The food was among the worst I've ever paid to eat, so don't go for the meal. In fact, I recommend eating before you go.
My aunt and cousin did that one last year....they usually LOVE those things, but they HATED that one. Not only did they not like the show but she thought the food was horribble, and they are not picky eaters.........but if you think the kids will like it, go for it, if you know what to expect, then you won't get disappointed.
