Have any of you been to the Pirate's Dinner Adventure? How was it? pirate:

The set design is gorgeous but overpowers the show itself. The actors in the show could not act their way out of a paper bag although a couple of the pirates were good eye candy. The food - well, I wouldn't offer it to a rabid dog. They did have unlimited beer or wine though. They do have an awful lot of audience participation as compared to other dinner shows.

we have been here twice and are going back in may ... the food is not that nice but its not that bad and the show to us is great...
compared to the arabian nights show its brilliant.
and as for that rabid dog i wouldnt even go near it to feed it anything :rotfl2:
sorry i mean no offence...

Hi, pretty much the same experience here too.

The show was entertaining enough although to be honest I can't really remember exactly how it went, the food was not *that* bad, but not *that* good either. An entertaining evening all in all.

Paul.

The Dolly Parton thing is meant to be very good though, we might try it on our next trip.

we've done the MT, pirates and just two weeks ago the Dixie Stampede.
MT was our favorite for entertainment, Dixie our favorite for food. Didn't enjoy pirates at all, don't even remember the food.

:drinking1 loving the unlimited beer and wine part :drinking1

We got free tickets and went a few weeks ago. I haven't been to any of the other dinner shows (so I can't compare) b/c I am allergic to horses.

The show was pretty good. There was lots of audience participation. The food was edible and there was lots of beer, wine and pop.

There is also a pre-show. There is a appetizer buffet with salad, various pasta, chips & salsa, crudites, etc. There are several bars where you can purchase alcohol. There is a pirate museum, gift shop and a tarot card reader ($10 for adults and $5 for children under 12).

DD has been to Medieval Times in Myrlte Beach. She liked that show MUCH better.

We enjoyed it. The show was fast and kept your attention. The kids got a small part at the end, they both preferred it over Medievel Times. I don't recall the food so it couldn't have been that bad, I would have recalled that. All in all, we had a real fun time.

We thought that the Pirate Dinner was fun. Lots of audience participation. The kids enjoyed it and the food was okay. But you do not go to these shows for the food. Go and enjoy! pirate:

I went last December. I was really looking forward to it but I really couldn't recommend it after having gone. Service was poor (the plastic glass that I had leaked and it took 45 minutes before I could get it replaced - in the meantime, it leaked all over the table). Show was so-so. The set layout was good and they did try to involve the guests to a certain degree.

thanks for the reviews... looks like we'll stick w/hoop dee doo revue! (good show, good food and unlimited beer/wine/sangria!)

We went. It was fun. :) The show is a musical theater type show that takes place on a pirate ship. During the end, all the little kids get rounded up from the audience and dressed like soldiers to help take down the pirates. During the show itself, adults get picked to perform certain tasks. It was fun. My SO and I were both picked. The food was pretty good too.
