Hi,

We have a group of 10 that will be traveling to WDW in October. It is a suprise birthday present for my soon to be 5 year old DS. There is one other child going woth us. This is a first trip for all of us.

I apparently along the way, while reading all kinds of Disney info, I missed the fact that there was a Pirate Cruise offered to kids. I have called to make arrangements but have been unable to because of the PS being full.

If there is anyone out there that is scheduled for this particular week that is planning on cancelling their reservation during that time period, would you be so kind to PM or email me. I would love to get your reservations!

My son loves Pirates and I think this would be the hihglight of his trip!

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

Welcome to the DIS, going4the1sttime, I'm very glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

Since the Pirates Cruise is an activity at the Grand Floridian, I'm going to move this to our resorts board for you. Hopefully you will find someone planning to cancel.

I hope you find a spot on this cruise for your son. My 6 year old nephew just loved his cruise.

Sorry, this is a popular activity with a very limited number of spaces that book up quickly. I can only think of two things that might help.
(1) Call 407-WDW-DINE every day and ask about availability. (There are so many CMs there you probably won't get the same one more than once or twice.)
(2) If you just happened to be staying at the Grand Floridian in a concierge room, they might be able to get you in. It is not unusual for a few spots to be held back for this situation. However Grand Floridian concierge is very expensive; don't even think about it unless you were already considering it. Staying concierge in another resort might also do the trick.

Last year I didn't realize how popular this was and missed the PS date. I tried method (1) but only 2 or 3 times a week. I was not successful.

This year I treated it like getting Cinderella's Castle for breakfast and called at 7:00AM on the first day one could make a PS; I was successful. Our oldest boy is 10 this year and this was his last chance!

There is an offsite dinner show with a Pirate theme your boy might like; I know little about it but it's not hard to find information.
