OK... sorry to disppoint. I haven't seen the movie. As someone that very rarely sees movies in the theater I can say that I won't be going to see it.

So I ask.... what is the secret at the end of the credits? I titled it "Spoiler" hoping someone would post it. Please.... for those of us that don't go to movies.... what is it.

You see the mountain of treasure in the cave, the monkey climbs up and takes 1 of the gold dabloons(?) from Cortez's chest, turns around and steps back into the moonlight and is a skeleton again. Thus I believe setting up a sequel.

Yeah the sequal is about to be announced, depending on the weekend gross - the tentative title is "Pirates of the Caribbean meets the Jungle Cruise: Curse of the Crazy Skeleton Monkey."

Well, a friend had free passes to the movies - so I ended up going tonight. The movie wasn't bad (not great in my opinion - but not bad). Of the 3-400 people in the auditorium - about 20 of us spent the 10 minutes waiting through the credits. I have to be honest - I was VERY disappointed that I waited to see a 10 second blurb. From the descriptions I've read - I figured it would be a decent little scene. Sure it opens up to the possiblilty of a sequal - but I'll never get those 10 minutes (waiting through the credits) back.

For those going to see the movie - Don't waste your time waiting for the end. Wait until it's on DVD - and fast forward to this little scene.

I prefer to wait until the crowd gets out ahead of us so I didn't mind waiting. The music is good too.

I always wait til the end of the credits, special scene or not. The movie's not over until the last credit rolls.

I agree! Although POC was special since I got to see a friend's name up there as CG Animator for ILM!

I feel the same way. Only if I really disliked the movie would I walk out before the real end.

What criteria would that scene need to meet to make it worth your time? If you had asked someone online whether the credits were long or not, I am sure they would've told you the credits are lengthy.

I'm sorry you 'lost' those 10 minutes. Who knows how important they might be one day.

Well, I guess the main thing is that I had some other folks with me at the movie. After sitting through 2 1/2 hours of movie, I told them "we have to wait through the credits - I read on the Disboards that there is really cool "bonus" scene". I guess from reading stuff on this board, I figured it would be at least a couple of minutes long and have some really great "teasers" for a sequal. So.... after having my friends sit there, and then some other folks that were sitting behind me stay (because I told them - "Don't leave - there's an extra scene") I personally felt not just disappointed - but embarassed for letting everyone else think the wait would be worth it.

I too have sat through many credits of movies before - but this was VERY long. Now that dozens of companies work on movies - and every company has dozens of workers - the credits can be HUGE. I really would estimate that the credits lasted 10 minutes or more. That is a long time to sit there to see a 10 second scene.

Anyway..... my point was... if you are going into this movie like me - and expecting something really cool and special to be at the end- don't waste your time waiting for the "bonus" scene.

My wife and kids always get annoyed when I insist on sitting all the way through the credits. I always remind them, that if I had worked hard on a film, I would appreciate people reading my name as it passes over the screen.
Also, there are sometimes great little tidbits of information, or even some "silly" credits inserted.
