Pirates antenna toppers available?

Well, to all you antenna topper fans out there, I just had my initial experience with the one drawback to having one…someone taking it. Yup, yesterday someone snatched my Pirates antenna topper. Bummer. Anyway, are these currently available at WDW? It’s the simple black Mickey head with the red bandanna. {I forget if there was anything else on it}. We’ll be heading down for vacation in a few weeks & I’ll obviously get one if they’re there. Anyone know? Thanks.

Yes, we just got back from Disney. My husband bought the same one you are talking about! Sad that someone would steal yours! Bummer! I also bought an antenna topper for my car, a Mickey Mouse with golden ears and it says "Happiest Celebration on Earth" on it. I love having a little Disney magic on my car! Good luck! We bought ours in Downtown Disney. Hope this helps!!

Same happened to us we bought a pirate topper (but it wasn't the one with a bandana, the one with the pirate hat .....anyway!) and my husband bought a football one with the mickey mouse ears. Some sneaky non disney type person pinched our football one
We found a replacement football one on eBay and have now superglued them on. Unfortunately there are no guarantees that these won't be pinched but hopefully they will give up a bit quicker I just don't get why these people think they have to do this

I had someone take my mickey antenna topper as well... it was awhile ago.... I don't knwo what makes ppl take things thats dont belong to them... I have all the holiday/season toppers and I get worried sometimes that someone will take it.... Luckily noone has yet :keeping finger crossed: I am leaving to Disney soon so I cant wait to get the new pirates one...Sorry about your experience...

That is just HORRIBLE. I love my Mickey with gold ears - now I worry that I should have gotten another!! What if someone pinches it! I park in an open lot all day -- it would make me very sad. I can find my car anywhere cause that little Mickey is very noticable -- must not be many Disney fans in my area! Hope you all get the replacements you want!

My sympathies...our Tinkerbell one was nabbed a few days after we put it on, have yet to find the same one....right now we have a lime green plain Mickey ....but the pirate one sounds very cool!

Yea someone took my regular mickey topper while I was in the grocery store.

But I didn't realize there was a pirates one. I will have to get it in Aug. Good Luck!

Someone stole my Nemo one last year - so I put out a curse that they'd get bitten by a shark My daughter said that I wasn't being nice, so I changed it to getting pinched by a crab...

I now buy two of the very special toppers, and display most of the cool ones on my dashboard, instead of on the antenna. I usually have a plain solid colored Mickey head on my antenna, just so I can find my car in parking lots.

We bought the gold Mickey ears topper a few weeks ago - I had my dh glue it with Liquid Nails. We'll need to Conan it to get it off - LOL Someone stole my Capt Mickey from the Disney Cruise - so I learned early.

my car doesn't have an antenna but I am reluctant to buy one for DW's car for this very reason. There are so many cool ones to choose from.

Dh got the Pirate topper at DL last summer. When he took it to the dealership for repairs back in Feb., they did a complimentary car wash, and the topper was gone. So, when we were at WDW two weeks ago, he went over to the POC shop, and bought another one! I told him to buy two, but he said no, if this one disappears, we'll just have to come down to WDW and get another one (any wonder why I love him????) Since my car only has an Onstar antenna, I was unsure about getting one, but he bought me a Sorcerer Mickey. We'll see how long it lasts.

I buy at least 6 toppers each trip. We go to Disney on Odd numbered years so on average I "lose" 3 toppers per year. If I lose more than usual, I can head to the Disney Store and pick up more if needed. Sad but true.

Me and DH drove to Disney about 2 years ago and took my car with the mickey topper on it...while we were at MGM going back to the car a family was walking in front of us and we could hear the kid saying how he wanted one for the family car and the Dad was saying they are expensive and that "hey that car has one-just take that one" The Dad was ACTUALLY walking up to my car to take it......my hubby said EXCUSE ME THAT IS MY CAR......then the dad tried to play it off like he was kidding.......he was SO not kidding....can you believe that.....nice lesson to teach your kid.....oh hey you want it-grab it!! I still have my Mickey!!

I considered gluing future toppers too. But then I was worried that if someone who’s willing to swipe one initially, if it’s glued, do they keep yanking until they get it, no matter what. To the point that they break off the entire antenna. I’d be REALLY ticked then. Plus, another reason I’m wary of glue, at Xmas time, I switch & put my Xmas Jack Skellington with the Santa beard on.
