Pirates and Princess Party - Characters

Since we know that MNSSHP and MVMCP are great for finding rare characters, any predictions of who might show up at the Pirates and Princess Party?

I'll copy in some of the event details from other posts and add my predictions.


Pirate Coves

New Tortuga (Adventureland)
featuring: Rusty Kutlass Pirate Band & Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial (learn to be a pirate!)

Probably going to see the whole Peter Pan unit here, and maybe a Crocodile sighting if we're lucky?!?

Riverboat Riviera (Frontierland)
featuring: Goofy, Donald & Pluto; Blackjack Dupree (pirate magician); & Legend of the Jolly Roger Haunted Riverboat Ride

Probably just some fun costumes here on normal characters.

Solaris’ System (Tomorrowland)
featuring: Themed dance parties at Cosmic Ray's & other atmosphere entertainment

Combining pirates and outer space can only mean one thing...Treasure Planet! Will this be the return of Jim Hawkins and B.E.N.?

Princess Courts

Adventureland
featuring: Prince Ali (Aladdin), Jasmine, Genie, Abu, Camels; Mulan’s Scimitar Training; & Acrobats

Abu is pretty rare, but what does Camels mean? The old Camel costumes from the 25th Anniversary parade? That would be super cool.

Maybe we'll see more of the Mulan unit here too, like Shan Yu and Shang.


Fantasyland
featuring; Ariel, Sebastian, Flounder at the Sebastian’s Under the Sea Dance Party

Sebastian and Flounder would be amazing to see!!

Princess Pavilion (Toon Town)
Cinderella, Snow White, Belle, Aurora & Arabella’s Royal Image Consulting

Who the heck is Arabella? If they're going all out, maybe we'll get some of the supporting characters, like Gus and Jaq, the three fairies, the seven dwarves, etc.


So what do you think? Who is going to be the big surprise character at this event? You know there will be at least one that shocks us all. Any guesses?

I was told by a CM when I ordered my tickets that Sebastian and Flounder were going to make an appearance. She also said that ALL the Princesses would be together. Normally you can find one or two, but they are never all together. This would be really cool for some little girl!

Isn't Arabella one of the ugly stepsisters?

My prediction on the Space/Pirate theme would be Buzz Lightyear characters in costume rather than Treasure Planet, but who knows?

I think that the princes (like prince eric and phillip and maybe john smith even though he is not a prince) would be out and hopefully some classic characters in toon town like panchito, ludwig, claracluck, jose, scrooge... I have seen pictures of flounder and sabastian in the parks so that would be cool, maybe some quasimodo and his crew? who knows? for know we can only dream i will be going to the 1st party so its going to be hard for me trying to run around the whole park trying to find some characters, i wanted to go on a later date but jan the 22 was the only date i could go , but i will report my findings on this board after the party.

That does it - I got to get there for this party!! This is starting to sound better than MNSSHP! I am thinking of one of the February ones. Sebastain and Flounder?? Whoa!! It sure does sound like Treasure Planet characters should make an appearance, as they fly on a pirate ship in that movie!! I also was hoping for that Crocodile from Peter Pan to pop up for meets!! And if Shang and Prince Eric gets out there, I will be all set!

Arabella? Trying to figure out that one, too! I was thinking it could be one of Ariel's sisters (as they all start with "A") but Arabella isn't one. Maybe not an already established character, I assume. Drizella and Anatasia are the names of Cinderella's step sisters - they would be FUN to have out, though a somewhat anti-princess presence!!

I have one question about this Are they going to try to heard the girls toward the "princess" part and the boys toward the "pirates"? In lieu of the success of POTC 2, that would be a huge mistake IMO. My younger DD (9) is obsessed with Jack Sparrow and anything POTC. I am in the planning stages for her Jack costume for MNSSHP. ( if you could see my sewing skills!) She really wants to attend this event, of course it would mea pulling them out of school again this school season...... I'll have to think some more about it, appreciate any advice or speculation about the gender profile thing.

Someone was that CMs will be handing out maps when you enter the park. You are free to pick which one you want.

My son and I will be going the pirtate route. However, I plan to swing around to check out the princess stuff.

i wouldn't count on seing any of the Treasure planet characters. they are dead and gone, and the only guy who was still with the company who use to do Jim Hawkins has recently left. As far as i know there hasn't been a casting for him in a long long time.

I woudlnt' be surpised to sebastian and Flounder. They are both reserved for special events. They do not sign. Mostly becasue Sebi has claws and Flounder is a baloon.

I have a feeling that like most Disney events, it is aimed at kids of all ages from 0-100.

We are taking our 3 boys (6,5,and 18 months),but DH is the biggest kid of all and he is 39.
