Hey just seeing everyones opinion.

August/Sept, will be my first trip to Disney. YAY. And first trip which I actually leave England. I have been counting down the days since last septemeber.

Anyway, obviously the trip, including flights, tickets and hotels have been rather pricey, especailly with a part time job, and uni to fund so the budget is already tight, but oh well it will be an experience. Me, 19 and my BF, 20 at the time will be going with a large group of people, who want to do both the Wishes Dessert Party and the Pirate and Pals Voyage.

These two events are quite expensive one roughly about $30 and the other about $54.99, or something similar, so me and the bf want to do one or the other. Due to lack of experience of any of these events which one do you think is a.) better and b.) more worth the money. Bear in mine we may want to throw in a day trip to universal, or should I say WWOHP :D

Thank you :)

Weve done the wishes dessert party and it was lovely had some nice photos, the pirate thing will probably be mainly couples with kids.

What about a private hire boat firework cruise or share?

We love love love  watching fireworks from the beach at the Poly after dinner at Ohanas, my fave evening x

We looked into the pirate thing but i though it was only running up till end of June....?or was when i last looked anyway?

Or is it only running 5 nights a week till june.....not clear.

We are doing the Pirates Cruise on our upcoming holiday so i will let you know what it was like:thumbsup2

By the look of it Dessert Party is going to be an option as there is hardly any reviews on the pirate pals voyage compared to the dessert party. Also the food looks yummy :D

I think you'll enjoy something like this for your first trip. I would suggest that you either have a large late breakfast/early lunch and then perhaps a light snack early evening before you go. I have read countless reviews by people who have not known any better and booked a full meal at dinner time before heading over to the Dessert Party only to find that they couldn't eat very much straight after a meal. It's not just about the food (or dessert) - it's about the experience - but like you say, it's not cheap so I would certainly try make a meal of it, albeit a sugar loaded one :thumbsup2

I spoke to Disney the other day to enquire about when they would be booking the P & P cruises for December. The CM told me that they were booking up to mid November, so to call back in a couple of weeks.
I don't get what all the June business was about either, but hopefully what the CM told me is accurate!

Claire :)

Personally, I wouldn't do either and would spend the extra money to do the additional day at Universal/Islands of Adventure that you said you couldn't afford. That is obviously just my opinion though. Although the Wishes Dessert Party is a nice experience, you can watch Wishes from anywhere else and the food, in my opinion, doesn't make it worth the cost.

I have no experience of the Pirate Pals voyage (unless it's the same one that you used to be able to do for a Grand Gathering) but, again, if money was tight, I would still rather spend the money on experiencing another theme park.
