Pirates and pals firework voyage opinions??

Pirates and Pals was the number one highlight of my last trip!!!! First, we met Hook and Smee. They were very fun to meet together- they were very animated and smee danced with my sister and I to the fun pirate music in the background! The dessert option is a little bit limited, I'm afraid. There's pretzels, cotton candy, two flavors of cake (neither of which I cared for), I think some cookies. The highlight of the buffet was that they served POG juice and all the mickey ice cream bars/sandwiches you could eat!!! They also had this giant treasure chest full of chocolate coins.

After you eat your dessert, you meet up with your twin hosts- Patch and his "identical twin brother", also named Patch. You go onto your little boats, and there's a bunch of pirate songs and games to keep you entertained before you see the electrical water pageant and fireworks. Patch offers his commentary on the electrical water pageant and it's the funniest thing you'll ever hear. Then there's a triva game before you get back to the docks, where a special lost boy waits to meet you for photos and autographs :)

I highly reccommend the experience. It's a ton of fun. Even my dad, who usually hates things like this, said it was his favorite part of the vacation.

We'll be traveling and are an hour behind (so when it's 9:00, my kids will feel like it's 8:00, I'm guessing?)
Do you think it's to tiring of an event to do on arrival night?

I have done a million wonderful things during our WDW vacations, and we have never done this. So when I stumbled across this this morning, I knew that my kids (and truthfully, the adults too) are going to LOVE this! I booked it for the first week of May and I CANNOT wait!!!!

We did this 2 years ago on our 2nd full day. There was a torrential downpour that afternoon and the fireworks were delayed. The party started normal time and our Patch was absolutely fantastic. He ad-libbed and told jokes, and we had a sing off with the other boat for about 30-40 minutes waiting on the fireworks. My kids were 16, 13, and 9 and they had a ball. It was almost midnight when we got back to our resort. We took a cab because it was so late. I would recommend doing this on a night when the little ones can have a nap and you are not planning to go to a park early the next day. Too many things can get off schedule. We are going back this Christmas and the only thing the kids want to ensure we do again is this and the Hoop De Doo. It is definitely worth the cost.
