I was looking into doing the pirates and Pals fireworks boat ride but when I was on the website the only time listed was 6PM. I checked Wishes for that night and they don't start until 10PM. How can that be on the website it says you have to be there an hour and a half or so before the fireworks? also if anyone had pics from this I would love to see it. And final question what is the size of the boat or amount of people it holds?

I di them cruise a few weeks ago and we wet told to be there at 8:00 for the 10:00 fireworks.
Pirates and Pals is a cruise that leaves from the Contemporary to watch Wishes. It was about $99 for my niece and I. There was a dessert/snack party before (8:00) with pictures with Captain Hook and Mr Smee. You then board one of two boats tat are led by a pirate who leads jokes, trivia etc. you get to see the water pageant up close and then the fireworks with music pumped in. Each child got a pirate themed trinket. When you get back to the dock there is a surprise waiting and another photo op.

Just read another
Review from Another site and it looks awesome. Going to call and book it for one of our trips either September or December

Just did it last week. Was definitely worth it even though my boy fell asleep. Our Patch lost it when my son still raised his hand at "Who wants treasure!" without even waking up.

P&P cruise is awesome - the pirates are hilarious!

We did this for the second time in March. The event starts one hour and fifteen minutes before Wishes (although they'll tell you to be there an hour and a half early to check in). So, if Wishes is at 10:00, they'll open the ballroom around 8:45 for snacks -- cake, ice cream, cotton candy, etc -- and a meet and greet with Hook and Mr. Smee. After a while, you go to your boat, where you'll often get to see the Electric Water Pageant before Wishes. After the cruise, you'll get a meet and greet with a surprise guest, aka Peter Pan.

Kenny the Pirate has a good write up of the cruise:

Fwiw you don't need to do the cruise for the meet and greet with peter as it takes place near the pool/round mickey face

thank you all for the input, I just booked it for our second trip in December and a bonus I booked it on a holiday wishes night. Thought that would be cool since we are doing MVMCP party already 2 days prior. I did read the review also thanks for the link.

If Wishes is at 8 when I go, and they say it starts 1:15 before the fireworks, that's 6:45 and they want you to arrive 10 minutes early, then am I pushing it to plan dinner in DTD at 4:30 or 5:00? Could we still use the bus or would we be better off taking a cab?

Can you tell me if they require children to wear life vests? We did a private fireworks cruise last trip and all was good till they tried to get my middle kid into a life jacket (resulted in a complete meltdown and Dad and kid were not able to do the cruise :( ) This looks like it may be an option for us on future trips!

TIA!

Do you have to have park admission for the day that you are doing the cruise? I'd love to do this the day we get there, but we aren't planning to activate our parkhoppers until the next day.

Don't need park admission. It leaves from the Contemporary and returns there as well.

Didn't wear life jackets when we went last month nor did we on our cruise last year.

Thank you! I may book this as a surprise for my in-laws who will be celebrating their 50th anniversary :) (whole family will go, of course)

Anyone have any input on if its just too cold on the water in January for this to be enjoyable?

we did it this past January and will do it again this coming January - it was very pleasant weather wise but there's no real way to know.
