Parents magazine has Pirates Adventure Cruise listed as a character meal? What is this?? Never heard of a meal like this before. I assume it is more geared towards boys??
They are probably talking about the Pirate Cruise that leaves from the Grand Floridian. Not much of a meal. Peanut Butter and Jelly, a juice box, rice crispy bars (IIRC). But its a lot of fun.
Its geared to children 4-10, but really its the 5-7 set that does it.
No parents are allowed on the boat. There are no characters involved.
They leave from the GF marina, and search for treasure.
My kids did it and had a really good time. Its around $30, books quickly - so get your PS early - and is only offered three times a week. Its hard to figure out exactly what goes on - my kids were 4 and 5 and they didn't explain well, but we know they follow a map through the resort marinas, finally finding a chest at what we think is Wilderness Lodge or Ft. Wilderness.
The link says someones kids got a pirate hat with Mickey Ears not available anywhere else. Mine just got plain red bandannas (and the pirate hats with ears are available at the store outside PoC).
