Pirates 5 release date finally set.

July 7, 2017....so a little less than 3 years away. Looks like they've had to push things back from the 2016 date they had hoped for, probably due to script issues.

I've read rumblings of New Orleans and the Bermuda Triangle being possible plot locations....and that Will Turner's story might not be over. Thoughts?

I enjoyed all of them. It would be nice if it were set in new orleans and filmed somewhere nearby.

Yes I have heard they were rewriting the script. Also johnny depp is done with the movies so this will supposedly be the last one.

I'm happy this is the last one. I loved the first two, third one was meh, and fourth one killed my soul.

I know I seem to be in a minority on this but On Stranger Tides was my favorite and I'm really anticipating this final film

The fourth one was a little painful. I was kind of hoping there wouldn't be another so the movies could fade out quicker and the ride could go back to the way it was much sooner.

I thought the third sequel was the best among the sequels. The other two movies had their moments and fixed a personal nagging plot hole in the original movie, but they were just boring on the whole.

While nowhere good as the first Pirates movie, it seemed to me that On Stranger Tides was the closest to the style of Curse of the Black Pearl.

I have seen all 4 POTC films and own them on DVD. I love all of them they are all different and have a different story plot! Will turners story is not over because he is the captan of the Dutchman so he is immortal! As for this being the final film that is yet to be determined, after all they said that they where done with POTC when the finished At worlds end, but hey they brought out in stranger tides! As far as Captan Jack Sparrow's story there where a lot of thing that took place before he became a pirate! If any one has read the book you really want a movie that explains his back story and how he came to be Captan Jack Sparrow the captan of the black pearl! Besides no one thought that they where ever going to make more star wars films and here we are many years later they are making episode VII!

As long as the franchise is taking in obscene amounts of cash they will keep extending the story.

Also, using George Lucas to bolster your case doesn't work. He contradicts himself more than a politician running for office.
