Pirates - 5.1 or 6.1?

On the box and in the menu the audio is listed as Dolby 5.1 or DTS 5.1 but mine played in 6.1. It appears that it's 5.1 ES or EX. Usually it indicates this. I wonder if it's a mistake or they just didn't bother.

Dan,

Does your receiver have 6.1 Matrix capability? If so, try it on AUTO and it should select 6.1. If it doesn't have 6.1 Matrix it will play in 5.1 I guess. I doubt there's too much difference. I didn't notice too many distinct sounds coming from directly behind me.

I'm only at 5.1 still, and that's what mine played at, but apparently it is DD-EX encoded as well as DTS-ES.

No problem. For the sensation of surround sound, sit with your back to the tv.
