I was looking at prohibited items on DCL and just want to make sure I’m reading it right. It looks like plastic pirate sword toys are allowed. I’m looking at buying my kid a blow up pirate sword so I’m assuming that would be allowed too, right?

Paul,
I would think that it is OK. My brother took one on a Miami HOTHS cruise, and there were no issues. I would shoot them an email to make sure. Its easier than holding on the phone and they get right back to you.

I dress as a pirate and I have a wooden sword that I bring onboard. I have done that for over 20 years.

My daughter has done the pirate makeover at least 7 times on DCL cruises and it comes with a sword every time. I usually bring one of her old ones for me on cruises that have a pirate night.
