Myself and DD18 will be staying in october and can't decide where to stay, which would you choose and why?:confused3

I have only stayed in the Pirate rooms but we loved them. The theming almost made me feel like we were in the "Pirates of the Caribbean". My girls even liked the skull curtain thing that could separate the sink area.

It was a fair distance from the food court but if you are able to walk easily it shouldn't be a big deal.

We loved the Pirate rooms. At the time it was my sister and me and my two girls (at the time 3 and 8). We all loved the room. I hope they can keep the barrel design for the fridge even if they have to modify a bit.

how were the beds? many people said they were thin and very uncomfortable and thats whats holding me back...

There is a difference in bed size if that matters to you. Pirates are full-sized and Princess are queen.

Pirate room has double beds and they are older the princess rooms have queen beds and are newer. We stayed in the princess rooms they were nice but I wouldn't do it again.

Stayed in the Pirates Room and loved them, we have a 7yo DD, she loved it too.

They are fabulously themed inside IMHO.

The beds were fine, I have quite a bad back, but during my stay at disney my back improved ten-fold, so it gets a thumbs up from me for that.

I do like the look of the Princess Room though as well, and would like to try that out.

It's probably a case if you favour the Pirates or Princess themeing.

Princess rooms: in POR

in mansion section of POR, so fairly close to main building
Queen beds
314 sq ft room

Pirate rooms: in CB

distant rooms
full size beds
340 sq ft room

If you like the room theming about the same and distance to rooms and bed size don't matter, which resort appeals to you more? CB or POR? More people seem to favour POR.

You must not have ever been to POR; like CBR with the pirate rooms, some of the standard and garden view rooms in Parterre Place are some of the more remotely located rooms at POR. There is the same reason they made them RR's compared to the pirate rooms at CBR.

The advantage of POR over CBR is that POR is a more rounded layout compared to CBR which is elongated. But Parterre Place can be closer to POFQ, which offers a better option of taking the POFQ bus, if late in the evening at park closing at the busy parks.
