PPP will be going on during our stay. The date for our trip is 9/3. Before I shell out the extra $$ I'd like to hear some experiences. There will be 3 adults, one being 11 and then 1 child. I really think it'd be a wonderful experience but I would love to hear from those of you that have attended.

Thanks

We attended in Feb. Was honestly the very best evening we have ever spent in Magic Kindgom ever!! Our only regret was that we did it on the last night of our trip..Had we done it in the beginning, we would have absolutley done it again at the end. Best fireworks show and night-time theming we have ever seen WDW do. Hands down our favorite parade and fireworks show EVER!

Don't miss it!:thumbsup2

oh good! we are going in august and have our tickets already. so glad to hear this.

sorry to hijack your thread!

Thank you so very much for the post. That's even better than I was expecting!

We went in Jan. and I also consider it to be the best night of our trip. There was so much going on that we honestly didn't know which way to turn! All the rides were walk-ons, there were lots of characters out, my kids loved the dance parties and of course, the fireworks were spectacular. We had planned on leaving after the fireworks (my kids are 5), but we stayed until the very end. On our way out we ran into Capt. Jack Sparrow who was stopping to say a quick Hello to all the boys in pirate costumes. My ds was ecstatic. I felt it was definitely worth the extra money.

We are going on 9/3. Just got our tickets in the mail. I was hopping that would get our trip off to a great start. DS 6 is getting a pirate outfit for his birthday. Can't wait for the fireworks. We went to the MVMCP in Dec and the fireworks were incredible.

I LOVED this event!!!!

We've been to the Christmas and Halloween parties, and while each is very special, I was head over heels in love with this party!!!!!

I didn't like the parade much, but the fireworks really were the best ever for me!

We went in Feb and had a fabulous time.
We started the night with dinner at LTT, by the time we were finished dinner, most of the X spots were open, and the park was fully decorated for the party.

We got more done that night than we did the whole week (it was Friday of President's Week)
The parade was awesome, and the fireworks were a highlight of the night.
And if I remember correctly, the only line we waited on was at PotC, but that was before the park even closed to the general public.
No lines at the X spots even.

I'd do it again if I had a trip booked for the next dates.

I love LTT. We are having dinner there before our PP&P in August. THe food is fantastic! It is a good compromise for my dd and I. SHe gets the characters and I get "real" food for an evening! The food is served family style and is delicious!

Can anyone who went before tell me where the Captain Jack meet and greet was? Thanks!

We went to the first night of the party in January and LOVED IT. Only bummer was that it poured down rain for about an hour, but we got to run in a back door and meet Pirate Mickey because of the rain!!

The fireworks were awesome and I'm not really a fireworks fan.

I wouldn't go to the party thinking that all of the rides will be walk on. The party was held during the slower times at WDW. By moving the dates to a higher attendance time, I think it is going to be crowded at the parties. Some people who attend MVMCP and MNSSHP also comment that the sold out parties are very crowded. I think it will be the same for PP party. We are going to the second party in August for the experience. I am not sure if my entire family was going if we would shell out the extra money.

We are going to the P&P Party on 8/18 on our first night at WDW. I can hardly wait. I'm glad everyone so far has had a good time. We have planned this as a surprise trip for DD's 14th BDay & I was somewhat concerned about the possibility of the park being packed.

THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST TIME MYSELF AND MY DS7 HAVE EVER HAD AT DISNEY. You will have a great time, and will never regret it. ENJOY

We're a family with "older" disney fans (22, 20, 20, & 16 year old kids) they love MVMCP (free hot chocolate & cookies were a dream come true for the 20 year old boy)

We'll all be there in August - do you think this will appeal to them? I'v just started reading about this event this weekend.

Our family is me, DH, DS18 and DD16 and we can't wait! I think your teens/20's will love it.

Thanks to everyone for all of the replies. I just got off of the phone w/ Disney tickets and purchased the tickets!:woohoo: This will be a surprise for the girls. Thanks again

I LOVED it. The fireworks were amazing and the parade was amazing, plus ALL hard-ticket events are amazing because you walk onto the rides. Guests can dress up like pirates and princesses, which come on, is just darn fun. You can collect pirate loot (candy and necklaces) all over the park when "X" marks the spot, which the kids love. Characters are wearing the pirate/princess attire (Mickey is dressed like a pirate, etc)...

The Halloween party is my absolute fave, but P&P is a close second! Ahhh I can't wait for August!
