Pirate & Princess Party - Anyone else???

I've never been to one of these ticketed events. Can anyone tell me how crowded it gets? Since attendance is limited, am I right in thinking that it won't be really crowded?

Rest assured it WILL be crowded. Good news though, the longer you stay the thinner the crowds. After the parade the crowds really start to thin out.

I purchased on line..and received nine tickets for the P & P party for February 23.....I have been to both the Halloween and Christmas ones...and yes...they were a bit crowded...I guess..in all of the "excitement"...the crowds during those times don't bother me as much....

I am taking my oldest granddaughter who is 13 to the Halloween Party this October and the rest of the grandchildren in February to the Pirate and Princess Party.....Each event will be a "first" for all the grandchildren...and I can't wait to see the looks on all their faces! :bounce: :dance3: :yay:

and uh...OK...................the "Grumpy Old Men", too :joker:  :smokin: :teeth: :lmao:

pirate: princess:
Will be getting tickets for Jan 26th, twins birthday on 25th so Disney starting to be annual birthday present.
From the sound of this forum I guess I need to make my dinner ADR now!

We will be going on Feb 15th and can't wait! I am wondering if any counter service restaurants will be open. I was hoping that Cosmic Ray's would be open, but now it sounds like some activities will be happening there. Anyone know?

Thanks,
Kim

I just bought my tickets today :cool1: . Were going the 22nd of January. I'm so excited', this is our first event.

Made my ressies today for LTT. CM said the characters would be in pirate/princess "garb" can't wait...

Got my tickets today. Thought they would be "Piratey", but oh well! I just found out that it's Superbowl time in Miami when we'll be driving down to Orlando. Hopefully that won't affect the parks or I-95 traffic too much. I also read that a 6 pm ADR on the night of the Pirate - Princess Party might cause me to miss part of the party. Anyone have an opinion on that? I was thinking we would be through with dinner just in time to get the party started.

How long ago did you buy the tix?? We bought ours by phone and I wondered if they should be here by now. I had one of those rare "less than helpful" CM's for the purchase and didn't bother to ask. :confused3

We are going to do dinner at our hotel the day of the party, since the little ones will take a late nap that day (Grandma probably will too!). We were going to go to the GF for dinner, but my mom didn't want to traipse through the GF in full pirate gear. I told her they wouldn't care. LoL

So, we may do 2 parties, 1 pirate and 1 princess. We will go to 1900 park fare the night of the Princess one, since DD3 will be the only one in full getup. :teeth:

I would think if you got in at your 6 pm ADR time, you should easily be done in time for the party???

I scheduled our trip, which we are driving to, without realizing the Daytona 500 is the Sunday after we leave (we are leaving on Friday the 16th). Guess I will have to do some research on what is going on that day so we can pick a good time to be going past Daytona. :teeth:

My order was processed on July 7 & I still haven't received mine. I called today & they are re-issuing them as being lost in the mail. If it has been 14 business days or more since you called you might want to call them back.

Does anybody know exactly how this will work--can you ONLY do the pirate or princess track? We'll be doing pirates, but I really want to see Flounder--can we make a detour just for that part? Will it be pretty much free roaming, the maps are just a guide, but you can go wherever?? Any thoughts are great! Thanks!

I'm interested in the answers to all those questions as well. I hope we don't have to wait until the first people are back to find out what it was like. That would make planning so hard! pirate:

I would also be interested if anyone knows how this works. I have never been to a "party" so I am in the dark, and as we will be there on the first night. I don't have anyone to report to me.

This will be our first event so I'm not sure how it works but we plan on doing both sides but it might mean Dh will have to take DS's to the pirate and I'll take DD's to the princess, hopefully we can stay together though.

We are going feb 1st!! and I am still deciding if we are going to start our days at another park and have an early dinner around 3:30 and just snack at the party later.

My cc was charged Jul 7. I called them, becaue my tix still have not arrived. I was told to call back next week. :confused3

I ordered on the 13th, so I will give it til the end of next week, that would be 16 business days for me. Seems like a longer time since I ordered. :rotfl: Guess we have just had so much going on, it seems like ages since they went on sale and I ordered them. :)
