Pirate & Princess Parties

Anyone else go solo to one of these? I'll be my first

I have done the P&PP and MNSSHP solo.
I enjoyed them both and both times I went crowds were not to bad. The fireworks at both are great.
I will be going solo again in April and can't decide if I want to do P&PP again. It will be going on 2 nights during my 6 night stay, which I find Kind of annoying Plus there is an EMH at MK until 2am, so I can't decide what to do.

Going solo to the parties is fun, it is easy to find a good seat for fireworks and parade cause you are only one person.

I was actually wondering about the P&PP as well!

We are going to WDW for our honeymoon in May and read that there will be two of them during our stay...curious as to what the party is like and if it is something we should consider doing? I assume it is more of a family/kids event. But know nothing about it.

Would appreciate some input!

I most likely will be doing a couple of P&P in May/June. I can't wait! So far I have done 3. They are a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to them.

The major events at the Pirate & Princess Party consist of a P&P parade, fireworks, a treasure hunt which involves walking from one 'X' marks the spot to another for Pirate booty (chocolates and beads). You'll receive a treasure bag at the entrance and there are special maps which show all the 'X' locations throughout the park.
There is a show which takes place in front of the castle.
There is also a location in either Fantasyland or near Tomorrowland with a DJ playing music to dance to.
Special events for the kids consist of 'how to be a pirate training' and I think there is also a 'princess training' event.

This is based on the last time I went to that party which was in Sept. '07.
