Arggg I just cant do Disney without glasses, so I send the family on, grab some glasses, pick up a couple of villain pins for the Pirate and find him waiting for me at the entrance to the show. Oh yeah, I had to potty too. At least that is what I told the Pirate! Hey, I didnt want him to know I was shopping for him! The seats for the show werent great, but we were IN and getting to see it! I mention again here THE PARKS ARE PACKED! I do find out later from a CM, that this particular day is the years 2nd highest attendance thus far for 2003! Lucky me! I begin to chant Disney spirit Disney spirit .dont be in a hurry to enjoy the little things..SMILES EVERYONE!!
We spent a short amount of time shopping and head to Epcot to park and attend our special planned Ice Cream Social! This is always one of our special memories because we select ONE person to be the special surprise birthday person. This particular trip we selected Preston due to the fact that things were busy around his birthday and he never got a party to call his own! Of course the CMs at the Garden Grill and the characters made a HUGE deal over it and embarrassed him severely! Isnt it grand traveling with the traveling circus??? Cheergirl Jess has recently informed me that, I often embarrass her! I am so glad!!!!!! My life and job as a mother is almost complete!! Someone forgot to tell her that embarrassing her IS my MISSION in life!! Of course she really wouldnt have it any other way!
With our tummies full we wandered over to do HISTA! Everyone loves this show and the timing was perfect! Epcot is basically empty and love the fact that I can walk 2 feet without stopping behind someone that is stopped in my way due to IIP (Indecision Induced Paralysis)!
I forgot to mention that Commander Brad was stressing this morning, because he forgot the drivers to download his pictures from his camera to his computer and his memory stick was getting low! I KNEW there was a place in Epcot that we could download his pictures to a disc, but I didnt know where!!
That is where dear DIS friends some in handy! I have a great DIS friend that I text messaged with my cell and he got me the information really quick, on where we could get it done. My family and friends tease me about Bob, but what can I say, he is a great friend that I have known for several years (He is the ONLY person I know that keeps his beer cold at WDW in an ice-packed garbage can!!) and he helped save Commander Brads photo history of the trip! Bob also kept an eye on things for me while I was eating Mickey Bars, keeping an eye out for the AP Rates to come out while I was gone! By the way, BobNC, thanks a bunch and I owe you big-time! For those interested he has is OWN infamous trip reports that I will never be able to equal! Read them sometime!
Pirate and Commander Brad went and got the memory stick thingy dealt with while Val and I took the kids to do some Pin Trading! They were beginning to suffer some serious withdrawals, as it had been a few hours since a trade was made. We went to Ice Station Cold, watched the water fountain and watched people dodge Cheer Jess cheer movements! The people that werent dodging were trying to get out of Preston and Justin playing hacky sack!! My children are the ONLY people that WDW that bring their own entertainment!!
Pirate and I came up with a brilliant idea that we would monorail over to the Poly for our 7:30 PS at Ohanas, then when we were done we would either monorail or bus back over to the Epcot Parking Lot to get our cars. We thought this was a great plan! Keep this in mind as we near the end of the evening. We are off to hop a monorail! Here we come DISNEY!
