Pirate & Pixie's Traveling Circus Part 6

After much discussion about who did and didn't want what, we picked Columbia Harbour House! It had everything that we all wanted and the food was yummy. While the adults got the food the kids grabbed enough tables for 11 and then spent the remainder of the time rolling up and popping straws to see whose could be the loudest!!

After stuffing the last bite of Mac N Cheese in her mouth Princess Erin politely crawled into her stroller and fell SOUND asleep! Pirate is wishing the MK sold beer, cause he would have LOVED to have one with his Fish & Chips!

Charlie is on the phone again with his GF. Peyton is eavesdropping on what Charlie is saying. Undoubtedly picking up girlfriend tips. Peyton wants to be Telephone Charlie when he grows up and is already pestering his Mom and Dad for a cell phone!! Smiling Jack Justin is playing games with his straw with Preston, Cheer Jess and Parker. I devote myself to trying to consume my fries before they get cold. Why is it that EVERYONE eats their dinner warm, except me?? Everyone is staring!!!! You can’t take this carnival anywhere!!!

The Musketeer’s are Pin Trading again!!! I just smile and laugh…this is what is all about! Friends, family all having fun! The circus wants to ride the Jungle Cruise and I don’t want to wake Princess Erin, so I find a place along the parade route to watch Spectromagic and off they go! As they depart I hear Cell Phone Charlie’s Phone ringing again! Good thing he has unlimited weekend minutes!!

I sit there, while she sleeps trying to figure out the eternal question of life. “Why do I love Disney so much?” Is it the bright colors? Is it the music? Is it the rides? Is it the smells? Is it the Mickey Bars? Then the music kicks in for the parade. I start getting goose bumps and that cheerleader facial smile, that I can’t wipe off for the life of me! Ok, if the music isn’t it, IT DEFINITELY has something to do with it!

I suddenly feel someone beside me, thinking, ut oh, encroachers..look up and see Val has magically appeared beside me saying, “friends need to experience things like this together!!” She had dumped all the kids with the men and my bestest friend came to sit with me! I need to take this moment to share that I love this woman with all my heart! There is just something about having a true girlfriend!! After we hug the parade kicks in full strength.

All the time we are both, regretting letting our families go off to ride the Jungle Cruise, they need to be experiencing this with us!! Where are they??? After the 4th float, I hear someone whisper in my ear… “Love you!!” I turn around to find Pirate there!! He was smiling and winking! “How much did we miss?”, and I let him know not much! He mentioned that they got to do the Disney Cruise AND Aladdin and they were cool to do in the dark.

I am happy the circus got to do both rides and got back in time to catch most of the parade. As I look at my family, and my friends, I am reminded why it is that I love Disney so much! It is a chance to bring us all together in a place that is fun and magical! Pirate spent most of the parade, taping us. What can I say, that is my man! He smiles, he laughs, he teases, he tapes and above all he loves Disney as much as me!

The night was ending, and we were all winding down! Or so we thought!! I look around for the musketeers and they are off Pin Trading again! We have created pin monsters! After the parade ended, all the kids had their second wind, we closed the park down, while getting to ride things we didn’t think we would get a chance to, cause the park cleared out after the parade and fireworks! WOW…look at that LONG run-on sentence!

Oh yes, and midway through all that fun stuff, Cell Phone Charlie kills the battery on his freshly and fully charged phone while talking to the GF. We all had a great laugh! Poor girl is probably thinking the he hung up on her! Sweet and sensitive Commander Brad lets Cell Phone Charlie borrow HIS phone to let her know that, “HE LOVES HER” and the he will talk to her later!

We even had a chance to see Chip, Dale, Minnie, Tigger, Pooh, & Eyeore. There were NO LINES at the characters and Princess Erin wanted her stuffed Minnie to meet the real Minnie!! It was so cool cause Minnie spent time loving on the stuffed version of her and patted her so softly. Princess Erin also got to dance for a few minutes with Dale and jump around with Tigger. These characters took time to make my daughters day!! Someone taught them about the Disney Spirit!!

What a great day, a great night. I think back to how the morning started in a stressful rush!! “Ok Smiles Everyone….Disney Spirit!!” I think we can say we overcame the stress and found the true spirit of Disney! Even the banging bed didn't keep me awake, because I was anticipating the next day's adventure! My hope was that we could get up and get going on time! Add NEVER HOPE to the list of nevers, they bite ya in the butt too!

Fabulous reports!! I too am lucky enough to have a "true Friend" and I am hoping she will be able to make the trip with us next year....if she and I get there together....I will think of you and yours and remember....and smile.

Disney should pay you to do PR for their Grand Gatherings!

Excellent report! I am going to be a WDW w/ dh and kids 1st. week of Feb., and it just worked out that my best friend is going to be there with her family also. We are only going to plan one Char. lunch together, but if we run into each other at the parks, oh well!
