Hello
I have cruised in the past where people really dressed up for the tropical night. I really like the whole idea of the pirate theme. I know its still new but do alot of people dress up for the pirate theme (or are people who are cruising in the near future plan on dressing up). I would really love to dress up but I dont want to be the only one!

I've got my Hawiian print shirt, eye patch and
Cash will be wearing a flower behind his ear....

When my 10 DS found out about pirates night he went straight to the Halloween box from last years MNSSHP to dust off his pirates outfit ready for Oct 9th cruise. He can't wait.

We are going on a 4 day wonder cruise in Nov, will they have pirate night? I haven't heard of it before, my DS will love it.

It's currently only offered on the 7 night cruises, sorry.

My DS6 as well has his Halloween pirate custome ready for our January (7 day) western cruise. However, my DD12 wants to wear her tropical skirt and top and maybe an eye patch......

The 4 adults in our party will be sporting tropical wear, though I'm probably going to include an eye patch and earing. Our three kids, two boys 14 & 8 and 17 year old girl, have put together pirate outfits. They are all very excited about it and we love the idea of a stronger theme to this night.

They also were selling a lot of pirate outfits for the kids, plus pirate "accesories" for adults, in "Mickey's Mates" onboard the ship. At dinner, they give you a red bandana. It was a lot of fun, and DO NOT miss the pirate deck party later that evening! It's an outdoor multi-media show! :)

Does pirate night delete the tropical night or are there one of each? I already bought my son a hawaiian shirt for tropical night......i wonder if i should return it lol. Or are the nights different from the Western or the Eastern?

Dh got REALLY excited when I told him about the pirate night change. One of my friends is making him a pirate outfit for the cruise! he is so excited. I warned him that most people will just be tropical(myself included!), but AAAARRRRHHH he doesnot care!

When is Pirate night??? I am going on the DCL Magic and leaving on Saturday, 9/18. Sunday is "Nation Talk Like a Pirate Day", and I was wondering if they had Pirate Night on Sunday... Can anyone please answer that... pirate:

Pirate night is on night 4, which makes that Tuesday night.

It's a blast, and the food's good too. GF and I were both in tropical garb and so were most of the diners that night, no problems. I wouldn't bother returning anything.

Thanks everyone ... I guess it doesnt matter if its pirate or tropical wear ... seems like there will be a mixture of both! I am going to Disneyworld this weekend so maybe I will check out the Pirates of the Caribbean store and see what they have!

Ok, pirate night sounds like a blast. I read before that it only happens on the Eastern 7 night itinerary. I'm going on a Western cruise in Jan. Has anyone been on a Western cruise that can confirm whether or not the Western has pirate night?

Thanks for clearing this up for me!

We were on the Western cruise on 8/28 and they had Pirate Night. It was a lot of fun. My husband (a war re-enacter) took parts of his Revolutionary war uniform and put together a pirate costume and my daughter made a great outfit from belts and vests at home. If I can figure out how to do it, I'll post their pictures. They got a lot of compliments and it was great fun, but not as many people got into as I thought they would. The waiters and head servers were all in costume with plumes and tri-corn hats, etc.

By the way, we had also heard they replaced mexicali night with pirate night, but on Friday we still had a mexicali night menu.

DisneyDiva4ever.....when are you going...I am leaving Jan 29th, 2005.......Western......same trip???

My DS has picked out a Pirate costume for this Halloween so that he can wear it to Pirate night. DH and I picked up a few accessories when we bought his costume. I am going to try to put together something for us too.
