Pirate night question

How do the two Pirate night deck parties compare on the Dream? I have two kids, ages 5 and 6. It looks like the more kid-oriented party is the Mickey one, but they both really love fireworks. I would hate for them to miss the fireworks, but the idea of doing two crowded deck parties in one night just doesn't sound all that appealing. Would I seriously regret missing one or the other?

You can view the fireworks pretty easily without neededing to visit the deck party. You can also youtube them videos and compare them in advance if you think it is something you would regret the kids missing.

If you go to the fireworks show emerald, you can set up chairs on the sides of the dance floor. Or sit on the steps. Or stand at the back by the aqua duck. I have not found the late party to be that crowded if you are willing to be out of the very middle of the action. And honestly, doing that gets you a better view of the fireworks. Those are set off on the starboard side aft.

The early show is fun to be a little more centrally located since it is sort of interactive.

That's a great idea! It didn't occur to me that there might be videos of the parties on YouTube. Thanks!

Thanks for the input! I think by that point in the night, we'd all be pretty happy not to be right in the middle of the action, so this may work perfectly.
