Do they do anything in the MDR for pirate night or is it just the party at 9:45 pm???? Not sure if we want to miss the MDR for Palo
It depends on the ship. On the Fantasy & Dream there is no MDR entertainment other than the music from POC and in AP the pirate sketches on the screnes. On the classics there is a limbo line that goes around the MDR towards the end of dinner & napkin waving. The servers dress up as pirates on cruises 4+ nights.
Also, on the new ships there is a Mickey & pals deck party at 7:45 and the more POC deck party starts at 9:45. The classics only have the late party.
. We won't want to skip the MDR that night and we will get to see the later pirate 'show' after dinner. But both 'parties' sound fun
If I had second seating I would go to the party, which is about 15-20 minutes of singing by the characters, then head to dinner when it is over. You won't be the last one in the MDR that night. There is usually a line to get in anyway. Look over the menu before you go so you have an idea what you want to order to help make up time if you are a little late.
I didn't realize first seating would be going to a movie after the deck party. Thanks for that info. So the deck party is mostly going to be 7:45-8:00 ish anyways so the first seating can get to the movie and the second seating can get to dinner. Not to say that they will be finished by the time we leave, but it sounds like the main part of it will be able to be enjoyed by both seatings. Sounds perfect![]()
We have late seating. Will we have time to enjoy some of the Pirate Mickey party before we have to head down for dinner? I was kind of surprised they don't start the Mickey party until 7:45. If they did it a little earlier, it seems that would be more fair for both dinner seatings. But I guess they want to give first seating passengers a full 2 hours to enjoy their meal. I'm bummed that we might only get to see a little bit of the beginning before rushing off to dinner.
