Hello! Does anyone know what night Pirate Night will be on the 7 Night Mexican Riviera on the Wonder? Also, is Palo brunch a buffet or set menu? Pros to brunch? Pros to dinner? We’ve never done Palo and we were able to get dinner reservations on the sixth night and I’m trying to figure out if we should keep those or try to change it to a brunch or do Palo dinner on the first night? THANK YOU for any tips and information you have you share!! Cheers!

I can't answer your question about what night your pirate night falls on. You may want to check with DCL. Palo brunch is no longer a buffet, but a set menu that is brought to your table. I really enjoy brunch. I am not a big buffet person-I found all the food and all the choices overwhelming. There is plenty to eat at Palo brunch, I would be surprised if you left hungry. A quick google search and you should be able to find the menus and how everything is currently offered. We order different things per person and that way we can all try a bite or two of the offerings. Palo dinner- also pretty wonderful Quiet, really good service. Perfect adult night out if you have children traveling with you. You can choose for a prix fixe menu and add on a wine paring or a la carte. Once again, a quick internet search and you can view the menus. Which do I prefer? I like them both- for different reasons. I like the dinner as it is a quiet meal with personal attention. I find the food there to be quite good and I can order off the a la carte menu as to just what I want/and how many courses. A nice break from main dinning. The brunch is just a lovely way to spend a sea day, eat a lot (lol) and still enjoy the main dinning room rotation in the evening. Sometimes I will do both or just either or. Depends on my itiernary, excursions etc. I try not to book Palo the first night, as I wish to meet my serving team that I will have in the main dinningrooms and establish my relationship with them. Or the last night, as I usually like to say good-bye to them. Hope this is helpfu. Enjoy your cruise!

I would be reluctant to book Palo on the first night, since that's when I meet my serving team and have a chance to discuss any dietary needs or preferences.

Palo on the 6th night should work, if you want dinner. You should be able to see all of the menus when you board, so if you really don't want to miss your assigned dining room, you can can try to change your Palo reservation.

I like both brunch and dinner at Palo for different reasons. I feel the brunch is a better value since you can order as much food as you want for the set price. I enjoy dinner because it's more relaxed than the main dining rooms and has tastier, freshly-prepared food. We usually do both meals on each cruise (though not on the same day). You wouldn't go wrong with either.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! THIS is SUPER HELPFUL!!! I TRULY APPRECIATE the tips on 1st night too! We too like to say goodbye to our servers so I didn’t pick the last night. I think we’ll keep dinner as we would love to have a “date night” even though we are traveling without our son. I agree that there’s something special about the added personal
attention at a dinner. THANK YOU!! Cheers!
