Just wanted to give a big :) for the cast at the Pirate League in the MK. My kids DD 12 and DS 6 really loved their time there on our recent trip. The CMs went out of their way to make the experience a memorable one. We've got some great stories and pictures! Even my husband - who was skeptical about the price when he heard about it - was impressed with how much time they spent with the kids and all of the things that they received for the $$. He ended up feeling like it was a great value and so did I. I'd be glad to answer any questions anyone has if you're thinking about this one.

How long did it take for it? We are booked in at 9am in Nov (I did it early so we didnt have to move ADRs). I was just wondering so I know how long I have to hang around w/ our little guy while our oldest and daddy get done up.

Well they say it takes around a half an hour - but I'd say we were there about an hour. Both our kids were getting made over at the same time - but the CMs definitely took some extra time with them - there were only a couple other kids there at the time and it was in the late afternoon - somewhat close to closing -so I think they were glad to have something to do. Plan to stay and watch some if you can - that was fun for us too!

I'm super excited to read this!!!!! :woohoo:Glad your family had a good time. :cool1:I have this booked for my son during our upcoming stay.:thumbsup2 It sounded really, really cool. Thanks for sharing!!!:cheer2:

We have ressies for our boys next month -- can't wait! :goodvibes We booked early (10 am) so they could enjoy their pirate face for the remainder of the day. I'm thinking it may be the highlight of the trip! :cool1:

We booked at 9:30 in the morning....hoping that this would last all day. Do you think that the make-up will last all day??

Just booked this today for dec trip booked 9:30 am so granddaughter can have it on all day

Are there pics anywhere? I see the one on the wdw website, but I would love to see more!:goodvibes

I do think the makeup will last all day - it is pretty substantial stuff (like stage makeup) that they use. They give you makeup removing cloths to use when you're ready to take it off and you need them! Another neat perk was that my DD got to keep some of the makeup they used on her - a full size lipgloss and nail polish - which she thought was the greatest.
We only did it in the late afternoon because we were there in the August heat and I thought my kids would be annoyed by the makeup if they had it on all day. Just the evening made for a perfect amount at that time of year, but when it's cooler I'm sure all day would be no problem. We went on Pirates right after - no line at all - and took some great pics of them throughout the halls leading to the ride - with cannons, etc.
Even though my kids did not get the full costume (again we thought it was too hot for the price) they wore plain, simple clothes and I still thought it looked good. Also the "secret" room that they take you in is SO cool and you get a great pic of each child in there as part of the package and then they give you a number to put the pic on your photopass if you want more. Ours were fabulous!

I'm thinking I might go to the PX this weekend here and get this $7 pirate costume for my DS. We are all going to be wearing Pirate tshirts that day (and I'm going to try to find some pirate goofy ears for DH), but why not take the costume if its $7 right??? Well that is if we are allowed to bring our own costume.
