pirate league questions

ADRs almost done, now I've got to book pirate's league for DS

2 questions though as it is my first TPL experience

- Is TPL like a regular ADR, I mean can you do the 180+10 days when you're a resort guest, or is that a solid 180 days ?

- How's the sword with the package ? Is it plastic or does it contain enough metal to be visible on x-rays (TSA concern here for the return flights)

It's 180 plus 10.

I booked today for DD for 28th October - she wants the mermaid makeover.

Sorry don't know about the sword.

We got the sword home in our luggage no problem at all

There is one more thing bothering me.

DS only speaks french, and I'm afraid that a large part of the experience will be lost for him.

We had the same kind of experience on Jungle Cruise. For DS and DW it was just a boat ride, and I had to try and translate the puns as they went by ... but how can you translate puns when they are based on english idioms ? and they come out fast ...
Some of you go to DLRP, I think you can imagine how it feels to have parts of a show spoken in french and not being translated (actually most is repeated in english)

I'm afraid that the experience will only amount to a make up session

I'm trying to get some english into DS and DW but that's a very long process, especially since we can't speak english at home.

I really don't know if I should sign DS up this year (he'll be 2 months short of 5) or if we should wait another year or 2 so that he learns a bit of english before

If you know you are going back maybe wait until he is a little older.

I think sometimes it's tempting to book lots of extra's but he wont know about it or feel he is missing out in any way.

My DD did BBB aged almost 4 and loved it but didn't really interact with the fairy godmother. Now she is older she chats to them.
