how do you get a high score. i know that sounds totaly dumb but i just scored 24010 on leave 1 playing but i have a level 3 pin do you have to get a high score on level to be posted i figured if i got hat high i would have got that message about the "loot" or whatever that everyone has been gettingw ith the coupons

The Pirates of the Caribbean (POTC) game does not have a specific level you must play for making top ten list. Playing Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 can place you on the top ten list, but the question is which list? You can play any level you want, but the scoring methods are quite tricky. When your inside VMK playing game and click on high scores button you are actuall looking at individual scores. When your viewing VMK web site's high scores page you are looking at team scores, but you must have computer team mate and computer opponents. I will try to explain further here:

Player 1 = 45,000
Player 2 (computer) = 5,000
Total Team Score = 50,0000

The high score list within actual vmk game contains individual player high scores. From example above, Player 1 would currently be listed as a high scorer with 45,000 points. Think of VMK Pirates Of The Caribbean game high score list as individual high scores. You must be reviewing high score list from within VMK game.

The VMK high scores web page provides team high scores, but you must play only computer opponents two-on-two. For example, The total team score above is 50,000 but divides by two players (50,000 / 2 = 25,000). The VMK high scores page would have 25,000 represented under Player 1. Your probably saying why does Player 1 make VMK high scores page and not Player 2, because you must play only computer opponents. Playing computer opponents ultimately falls under actual Player 1.

Hope this helps clarify the difference between ingame high scores list, and vmk web page high scores list.

I'm a bit confused too, so let me see if I can say it back to you.

1) There are two different types of high scores on pirates (game board and vmk website)
2) Either way, you have to play against a maximum of two computer opponents. For the web, you need a real teammate. For the game board, you need a computer teammate.

There are a few fine points of how you get points on each board, but I'm not too worried about that at this point.

What I think is bad about this system is that the computer ship is beyond control and often "steals" the possible points from you by attacking the other ships.

Each time that I have posted a score greater than 40,000, and placed on the in game hi score list, I have played with 2 or 3 other players agains some combination of people / pirates equalling 4.

I wish the real info on the exact meathod was posted by VMK. While the info given is very usefull and appreciated. There does still seam to be some discrepancies here. I had heard the meathods given before and it seems to go by this most of the time, I have got credit for high scores with more palyers as well and also playing others. I'm just not sure because I don't keep track. Also to make it equitable it should rank depending on what level and type game you play, being pirates or other players. My highest score as aplayer was aroung 50,000 points with other players yet didn't get high score credit on that one. Ussually I get 20 - 35 K.

i was wondering this also, do you get the cool stuff from the ingame hi score or the website high score? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3
