We've been to DL at least once a year since 2000 and love it! We're going with our dearest friends next month!!! We've got AR at BB and Rainforest Cafe, but I also thought the Pirate Adventure Dinner would be fun for all of us (4 kids from 9-15).

Anyone have any experience they'd be willing to share? TIA :flower3:

My boys said they were too old for a character meal this year. They saw the ad for the Pirate meal and thought looked cool.

For anyone that has gone...

1. Do you feel you got your moneys worth? It is the price of an amusement park!

2. What type of menu was offered?

Thanks for any help!

A couple of years ago we went to Medieval Times with another family and had a great time! We loved the show paired with the dinner, although the dinner part was not spectacular.

We travel pretty frequently and have taken a couple Disney Cruises. Our kids, even though they are teenagers, still love to try new things and are in for the fun of it. The family we are traveling with have two younger children than mine, but all of us have fun together.

We found this and thought it would be a fun evening for all of us, but I haven't seen or heard any previous experiences at the Pirate Adventure. It is pretty pricey, comparible to Medieval times, but the food sounds better and the experience sounds fun!

I'd love to hear if anyone has gone!

We went to the Pirate dinner in June and were really disappointed with it. Not worth the money at all! Medieval Times is so much better!

The food was horrible. I had some kind of chicken dish and it was not good at all. The kids had chicken nuggets and they didn't like those and it's pretty hard to screw up chicken nuggets.

Overall, the show was pretty boring too.

We just felt it was a waste of money!

Yikes, that bad huh?

Yep, pretty bad! Sorry, just giving my honest opinion!!

We thought of going to one and so read up on several reviews. From what I found, most really enjoyed Medieval Times but were very disappointed in the Pirate dinner show.

I agree. Medieval times is far, far better. It seems like Pirates is just trying to cash in on the whole pirate fad, and it really wasn't as good as the other. I would rather do medieval times over the pirates dinner.

Went last Sept to Pirates, and agree with the others. Not nearly as good as Midevil Times. To much money also. When we were there there was a lot of drunk older teens. As we were waiting outside. One young girl came out and ***ed 20 ft from us. Not even 5 minutes later another came out with her skirt at her waist. No underwear. My 13 yr old son nearly fell over. Just glad he only seen the backside. All in all very disappointed with the whole event. I am not to sure how all the teens can afford to drink there. The drinks were outrageous. Just my 2 cents.

My DH and our friend who is joining us are both in law enforcement. That won't fly with them! Don't they card there?

Not to sure about the carding. Maybe they were of age. If so, barely. Its hard to tell these days. I just know that they were not acting like 21. I can understand a few drinks, but this was way past that. Oh well. Lesson learned. The expression on my sons face was almost worth the lousy evening.

WOW! We went in July of 2007 and loved it!! Our food was GREAT! The show was tons of fun and everyone in my family got to participate in it. Well, everyone but me. LOL But that was fine, I loved it. We actually liked the food better than the food at MT. The show was fun and the other guests were not behaving badly. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, I would have said something to the employees at that point.

MT was fun too but it was dark and hard to see to eat....but man, watching those guys joust and watching the sparks fly off the swords was amazing!!

:worship: Thank you for your different point of view! I've already bought the tickets and I was so upset with all of the replies being on the horrible side. I'm going to think positive and hope that we enjoy the experience as much as we did at MT! pirate: Thanks for sharing!

Um what is this "Pirate Dinner"? I have never heard of it.

On another note, I went to Medieval Times when I was about 9, and had a GREAT time. Now, that was about 19 years ago. But it was still fun. I remember not really eating though since I am really picky. But I do remember my brother was making fun of another color. and their knight guy came over and was yelling at him. It was best! hahaha I was lauging so hard.

Sheri, you are welcome!! I hope you have as much fun as we did!!

PrincessKell, check it out at piratesdinneradventure.com

Wow Im really surprised at how negative the reviews are. I have another question about kids... Do they have to eat off a special kids menu? Or can they choose what the adults eat? I certainly dont want to pay $30+ for chicken nuggets.

Thanks.

I have wanted to go to the Pirates show and dinner when we go to WDW $35. a person. I Just looked in Jan. because we were going to DL it was $66.00 per person!!!!

I'll wait!!

We are going and thoses are my thoughts too! $30 for chicken nuggets makes me wonder if they gormet, I really doubt it though they are probally the kind you can buy in the grocery store lol!

When we went to Medieval Times, it was about the same cost as the pirate adventure dinner. It's not just the food you are paying for, it's the show. The food at MT was not gourmet by any means! We joked that the soup looked just like Campbell's vegetable soup! It very well could have been! But we had fun! 2/3 girls in our party where given the flowers by the knights and the boys loved holding the flags and yelling for their knight!

If that is pretty much what we can expect with the Pirate Dinner but with the different theme, we're going to give it a try! pirate: I'll keep you posted how it ends up!
