Welcome to the DIS, <b> WilliamsMom</b>, I'm so very glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I was there a year ago in May. The food was mediocre but it seemed to be a great place for children. They drew the children into the Pirate adventure. I think for adults only it would be "ho-hum" but if you have kids it would be great fun.

I'm going to move this to our Orlando's attractions board for you.

Pirates is good family fun, probably most appealing to the children, definitely memory-making if for no other reason than the fact that there is a huge ship in the middle of the room and pirates are swinging over your head while you dine.

The food is not extraordinary; it's basic dinner-show fare and plenty of it. But it's a fun diversion, worth seeing, and a good break from the parks with the added benefit of having your very own pirate to cheer for!

Looking for other comments on this as we are considering this for a family dinner outside WDW with the whole clan!

There is a certificate you can buy from restaurant.com for $6.25 that gives you 50% off the food portion of your meal. (Max party of 4. Not valid Sat. night and holidays).
