I have read all the mixed reviews but really need to do a pirate show for our DS3. He is obsessed with pirates. And not jake, but real live pirates.
We are not super excited to try this place as people seem not to like it, so we are trying to find the cheapest way to go.
We are staying on property but do not mind driving if someone can recommend another type of pirate show.

We went last year and dont be put off by the look of the building...my DS8 loved it. He is bigtime into pirates. Bring your own pirate gear to save money. The food was fine. I wouldnt bother to upgrade. The show was fun. You get a pirate to root for based on your seat section. Dont pay extra to have time with the pirates either they let all the kids on the ship at the end of the show to wave swords! They will be outside in the large lobby for photos too...

I did the Pirate Dinner Show on my honeymoon to Orlando (in between Disneyworld days!) and I really enjoyed it. I think the previous poster said it all: don't upgrade, don't pay extra for a dude in pirate garb to talk to your kid. The show is hilarious and fun without any of the extra cash being put out. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Just be sure to get some discount tickets online before going to really bring the price down.

candielips......I might be able to help you out with discounted admission. I have just ordered a 2013 Entertainment Book for Orlando, and I know that includes a couple of different offers for the Pirates Adventure dinner show. If you are interested, I could mail you one of the coupons. We are also in Ontario so once the book arrives, it shouldn't take long for Canada Post to get the discount coupon to you.

Not sure what other offers you might have stumbled upon, but check out the Entertainment Book for Orlando and let me know (send me a PM, if that's easiest) if one of those coupons might be helpful. :goodvibes

Seriously???thank you so much. I am assuming that you do not plan on going.

Seriously! :cutie:

We are not planning on going this trip, as we already have Dine with Shamu and Santa's Fireside Feast booked for SeaWorld, as well as an Ohana's character breakfast and the Shrek Feast at Gaylord Palms. There's no way we will squeeze it in (though DH would love to someday......DS, not so much :headache: .... but that's a teenager for ya). With this being our third trip this year, we are planning on taking a break from Orlando in 2013 and going somewhere different, so I don't imagine we'll be back before the book expires.

Its nice to be able to help out another Diser. :) Hopefully it will save you a nice chunk of change!

The best discount, I think, through the Entertainment Book is 20% off admission (it beats the online discount of $10 off). The $10 off is also available through the Entertainment Book coupon. That's what I can see online so far. I don't know if the actual book has anything more favourable or not. At $61.95 per adult regular price, that's one expensive dinner show! :faint:

I saw some specials for $40 but they are not included in 2013. Don't worry about the coupon Gina. Thank you so much though. I cannot justify paying more than $40 per person.
Wish me luck ;)
