Ok, so we went to the Pirate dinner and it was....
just ok!
When you arrive they ahve stations of appetizers all over the place and it is packed and hard to get to the food. What they did have was good. We had meatballs in BBQ suace, huge raviloi and sauce, carrots and celery, shrimp cocktail, cheese and crackers, taquitos and pasta salad.
The show was pretty good. We just didn't feel like we were a part of the Pirate Adventure. The music was really loud and they had this whole cirqu du soleil thing going on. We were in the green section and our pirate never seemed to be involved in any of the activities.
The food was just ok as well. The choices were chicken and beef or chicken and shrimp/scallops. Those in our group that had the chicken/beef combo said the beef was good, but spicey. I had the chicken/shrimp combo and the chicken was good, but the shrimp and scallops were horrible. They were mushy and way over cooked. We also had rice and veggies, which were fine. The kids had chicken strips and my niece said they were chewy! Dessert was apple pie a la mode and it was fine. You also get beer, wine, or soda with your meal.
Overall, we did not enjoy it that much and won't be doing it again. We have a much better time, and better food, at Medieval Times.
Also, if you like to drink, be aware that the cocktails are ridiculously expensive. We ordered two margarita's and it came to $32! Of course they make you have the $8 drinks in their $8 souvenier glass!
