After having seen the PoC movie twice now, we have been bitten by the pirate bug!

Has anyone done the Pirate Dinner Adventure show in Orlando before?

Any recent reviews?

We are thinking we might go if it's worth the money.

:)

Show= great
Food=YUCK!
Don't pay extra for front row.

We did it this past Feb. It was expensive (all dinner shows are). The food was what I'd expect at a hospital cafateria. Not good, small servings even if you did like it.

Its all the beer you can drink so some of your neighbors are a little too happy. We don't drink so we felt like we helped pay for others to get tipsy and annoy us. They encourage you cheer for your section's pirate and "boo" the others. I thought that was teaching the children poor sportsmanship. No big deal. I just didn't "boo". Then they "got on to me" for not booing!

We paid for the front row seat up grade. They tell you this will give a good view and your kids the best chance to participate. Any seat has a good view. We didn't have our kids with us but we had to get up 3 or 4 times to let other kids get out. We were all sitting on a bench and they couldn't get out unless we moved...unless of course their familly had gotten up and let them out the other end! They were drunk and it didn't occur to them. The other rows had chairs and you could get out with out disturbing anyone. That would have been worth paying for.

Before you go on thinking that I'm some uptight goody-goody that coud use a drink...I do something nice to say. The performers gave 200%. They put on a good show. They could sing, dance and did their own stunts. There were some fine lookin' pirates too! They had cute interaction with the kids. Lots of kids got to participate.

We were disappointed overall. Then they hit us up for a tip! I assumed that it was included in our admission! It should have been for the amount they charged. It was our first dinner show, we didn't know any better.

We just came back from the Dixie Stampee tonight. No beer. Chairs not benches. GREAT food. I liked it. A few kids got to particiapte...a few grown ups too. Really great for adults and kids. Good clean fun. Worth the money.

Thank you so much for your honest review.

I had found a website that had tickets for the Pirate show, $27 instead of the $47 and wondered if that made it a better bang for the buck!

It would be just the two of us, and we weren't really going for the food or the drinks. I've been to Medievil show and thought was really good too.

I guess if we have the time we might do this, otherwise we'll probably SKIP it.

:)

you are most welcome!

$27 might not be too bad. Hopefully the food is better. Maybe we just caught them on a bad grocery day!

I'm curious to know what other's think.

My family and I went last year and had a blast. We had plenty of food and drink. We had 9 in our party and we all got to be in the show!!!! Definately recommend...... On the discount ticket plases are the best deals on tickets. I paid only 25 dollars each for the adults. Will be going again in July 2004!!!!!

Hi all

On our visit we did the following shows:

1. Pirates - food poor, accoustics appauling, hard to follow any plot - Personally I thought this was the worst show of the 4 that we did. To be fair though my two children both girls aged 8 and 7 loved it. My wife thought it was ok.

2. Medieval Times - food good (surprised) show very good horsemanship skills excellent. All of us thought this show excellent.

3. Arabian Knights - food very average(go for the chicken rather than the ribs) show excellent Horsemanship skills excellent. My wife and girls are into "horses" if any of you are do not miss this or meieval times.

4. Cirque Du Soleil- La Nouba - not a dinner show so no food - Now for me if you have previously been impressed my traditional Circus acts- Acrobatics/Clowns etc well I can only describe this show as Awesome!!! it takes traditional Circus acts to a level that you will not believe. This Show for all of us was incredible. If you like this sort of entertainment prepare to be amazed.

All these shows are quite expensive so the bottom line is -as a familly-would we do them again-YES.

Hope this helps

Rick

We went a couple of years ago and were extremely disappointed. The food was awful and so was the show. The sound was not good also so you lost interest. The kids who were 10 and 8 at the time didn't think much of it either.

We certainly wouldn't go again.

We've seen both the Medieval Times and the Pirates shows. The Medieval was the better of the two. We had the front row for both and my daughter got picked to go on the ship for Pirates but overall we would do Medieval again but not Pirates.

Go for the Medieval Times show-waaaaaaaay better! We did both in April and the Pirate Show was a drag and the food wretched. I would do MT again.
