Pirate cruise

I am thinking about booking a PS for my 4yo DS to go on the Grand Floridian Pirate Cruise. My wife and I have some reservations about letting him go alone at his age. Anyone out there have any info or personal experiences regarding this?

We just did it this year however my kids are older and they were together. He'll be safe...will he mind being alone?

MY son is signed up for the Pirate cruise on Sept 23. He will be 5 I have been assured by many people here on the board he will be well supervised and have a great time.

I think he will be OK on his own.

My son and his 3 friends will also be on the same cruise!

jhugge - my DS went when he was 4 and loved it! He was also alone and he didnt seem to mind at all.

My dd's(4 & 7) did it with their cousin (5) back in May, they loved it! The cast members assign everyone a buddy. The girls can't wait to do it again, this time there will be 8 children in our group attending the pirate cruise.

Yes, your DS will be fine. As others stated, they have several cm's to help and supervise all the children plus assigning them a buddy helps them feel comfortable. Once they put on those pirate hats the excitement level goes up a few notches. Don't forget to take plenty of pictures. The best part is when they are coming back to the dock....you can usually hear them before you see them! My two talked my ear off the rest of the day and had to show me their "loot" more than once. It's great!!
