We're going to WDW in December and are considering booking the pirate cruise for our two boys. I'm not really worried about my 6yo, however my 4yo will have just turned 4 the week before we arrive.

If I understand, the cruise is for the kids only, the parents stay onshore. Should I be concerned with allowing my 4yo to go on this cruise? What is the cruise like?

Thanks in advance!!
Robbie

My dd's love the pirate cruise. They have done it 3 times now and we are planning on doing it on our Dec trip, too. The first trip my youngest dd had just turned 4. She loved it! They pair each of the kids up with a buddy (it can be a sibling). If your child doesn't mind going with out you, I think they would have a great time. We have also done the other Grand Adventures and my dd's love them as well.

Janet2K has fantastic info on the Pirate Cruise and pictures. Which one are you looking at - the original Pirate Cruise out of the GF or the new one on Wed at the Y&B resorts? Our daughter had a blast last year on the GF one - she was 4 1/2.

janet2K's Pirate Cruise post it's in the middle of the page you are linked to

Thanks for the link!!!

My decision has been made, now all I have to do it get it booked at the 90 day window :confused3

I think I'll hold off on telling the boys about it until I get it booked.

Hi!

We were there June - July of this year and my three boys, 9,7 & 4 did the Pirate Cruise at the GF and they loved it. I was a little afraid for my 4 year old but they were great. When he returned he had so much to tell us. Your 4 year old will be fine and I'm sure your 6 yo will take good care of him.

Have a great time!

My DS is doing the pirate cruise on his 4th birthday in September, with his 7 year old cousin. I will admit that I am worried :scared: , okay maybe scared to death, but I have read and read everything I could find about it, and it sounds perfectly safe. I know he will have a great time, I just keep telling myself "He'll be fine, he'll be fine, he'll be fine....................." I may not leave the dock the entire 2 hours, though!

The first time my ds did the Pirate Cruise he had just turned four. He was with his sisters who were 5 and 6. They had a ball. They did it again this year. Unfortunately it was raining so they had an "indoor pirate cruise/treasure hunt. They had a good time even though they couldn't go on the cruise itself.

Thanks for the replies! I know my boys will love it!

The cruise last for 2 hours, right? Any recommendations on what my wife and I can could do during the 2 hours?

Your boys look so cute. I can't wait until my 3 year old is old enough to go on it with his older brother. Is the minimum age 4 or do they just have to be potty trained?

they used to let 3 year olds do the Pirates cruise..

My son has done it twice... once last August when he was 4 and once the previous May when he was three ...
He absolutely loved it both times!
