I had thought I had read somewhere that the Pirate Cruise was for ages 3-10. I called to book today for my DDs7&6 and DS3 and was told it is for 4-10. Sure enough, when I checked the web it does say 4-10. My question is, has anyone sent a 3 y.o. on the cruise with older siblings (and yes, potty-trained) and if so, did you "fib" about his/her age? I know he would love it and would not be afraid to go (we have a pontoon boat)!!!! But now that Disney has his age for everything else, how does he suddenly become 4 for the PC???

I think it used to be 3, but has recently changed. I don't know if I would fib about the age thing or not. On one hand, the older ones will know what you're up to and so you're not setting a good example.

On the other hand, you know what your 3-year-old can handle and especially if he's with older siblings I'm sure he won't miss you too much.

Good luck with your dilema.

On our last trip, our three kids did the Pirate Cruise. Our older son was 9 years old and my daughter was 6; though my younger son was only 3 at that time (turned 4 two months later). Nobody questioned us about his age; though he does look older than his age. Which after looking at some of the other kids, didn't suprise us, because they definitely didn't look four years old.

All the kids on the boat pair off with a buddy. My older son paired off with my younger son, and my daughter quickly found a buddy. My older son took care of him on the boat ride, and the CM were very helpful knowing that he was helping his younger brother.

Seeing the smiles on their faces as they prepared to board the boat, and waving to them as they left and arrived, made me glad all of them did it ! I wouldn't of done it any other way !

My son was 3 1/2 last time we went, he could ride most anything. Some things scared him alittle, he actually still remembers, would suggest a parent rode with small child just in case they got spooked. He rode with his head buried in me then, hopefully come November (he is 8 now) we will have no problems or flashbacks.
