My dd, who is more into pirates than princesses, wants WDW to do a pirate character meal. She is also a big fan of Pluto and feels it should have him, Mickey, Peter Pan, and Cpt. Hook. She has titled the meal --Pirate Pluto's Swashbuckling Feast. While I know no one here can make this happen I was wondering why WDW doesn't have a meal geared toward the boys like the Princess meals geared toward the girls.

I TOTALLY agree! I have 2 sons and a daughter and I'm making them sit through 2 princess meals, and there's nothing special for them! I would love it if they would have a pirate meal, or more of the boy characters, Toy Story, Cars, Monster's Inc., Tarzan... something!

There definitely aren't enough "boy" character meals...maybe Stitch, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, but those are all good for boys or girls, and there are tons of girl-oriented meals (1900 PF breakfast OR dinner, Akershus, CRT). I think a pirate themed meal with Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy, maybe Smee would be great...Tink would be cool but I think she might confuse little kids if she is life sized and talks! :tinker: Oh and of course Captain Jack Sparrow pirate: :lovestruc :love1: The guy playing Captain Jack in the Pirate Tutorial they were doing in the streets of Adventureland was spot on -- had all of Depp's moves and gestures down so well.

On a Disney Blog in 2006, I found WDW sent a survey to some guests, asking their opinion about a pirate themed beach BBQ, maybe somewhere near Fort Wilderness. It was very much in the "what would you think of this idea?" stages, but wouldn't that be awesome! The survey evidently asked about interest in, "Board a pirate vessel from a resort and sail to Pirate's Cove, where Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of bandits have cooked up a beach barbecue. Salty songs, tall tales, delicious food, and a hunt for the fabulous Tortuga Treasure spice up this fun-filled evening under the stars. Guests are given a clue-filled treasure map, and friendly competition is held to find the priceless prize."

Can you imagine that? They could do the Pirate Tutorial there, and have Captain Jack and Captain Hook have a contest to "out-pirate" each other...and Peter and Hook could do battle, and maybe Wendy could save Peter! I would absolutely love something like that. What do you think? We didn't schedule HDDR or the Luau this time around, but I would have been at a BBQ with Jack Sparrow in a second!!!
