Pirate Character Meal!!

All I can say in response to the two above:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :dance3: :dance3:

I would seriously be planning my next trip around this opening if rumors get confirmed.

I am keeping my fingers crossed this will happen.:goodvibes

It would be really cool to have a Peter Pan breakfast for the younger set and a PotC dinner for the older kids/adults. Something for everyone, and finally something for the boys to get excited about. :)

I'm laughing at the idea of a Jack Sparrow character breakfast--he'd be trying to steal wallets out of purses (while issuing compliments to the ladies) and looking for his rum and his "effects". It would probably be the greatest CM job at WDW!

I am kinda surprised that WDW hasn't tapped into the pirate themed meal since the movies have done so well. I know my DS's would love a pirate themed meal. :)

Jack Sparrow would have to "touch" me in order to get my purse from me so he could "steal" my purse anytime.

Disney is so missing the boat when it comes to boys and character meals. As a mom of two boys, I'd be happy with any boy-type meal; Power Rangers, Toy Story, Heros, whatever but the Pirate theme is brilliant! I don't know any little boy who wouldn't be over the moon for such a meal. It'd be fun for the girls, too. My daughter is as girly-girl as they come and she loves the POTC movies. Who doesn't get a kick out of Jack Sparrow?

Are you listening, Disney??? We want Pirates!

I saw a youtube clip of the actor playing Jack Sparrow for the Pirate Tutorial street show. He was dead on, and seemed to be having great fun playing the role.

I kind of wonder if Disney has been hesitant to do a character meal centered on a movie with adult content -- none of the other character meals have that, they are all based on G rated movies. If they made it a "Pirate" meal and not a "PotC" meal, then they could have Jack Sparrow, as well as Hook, Peter Pan, Smee, Wendy and make it more "family friendly"...and someone mentioned Tink, but she might be a little confusing in a meet and greet if she is life sized and talks  I have seen a face character actress play Tink in the DL Parade of Dreams, though...don't know if she did any meets in the parks.

I think the Tortuga restaurant is a great idea; I was sorry to see there was nothing like the Blue Bayou at WDW, so this would be an interesting twist. There is something else I'd love to see, though...there was a postcard that was sent out to survey folks, I saw it on a blog from September of 2006:

"Board a pirate vessel from a resort and sail to Pirate's Cove, where Captain Jack Sparrow and his band of bandits have cooked up a beach barbecue. Salty songs, tall tales, delicious food, and a hunt for the fabulous Tortuga Treasure spice up this fun-filled evening under the stars. Guests are given a clue-filled treasure map, and friendly competition is held to find the priceless prize."

An evening outdoor beach barbeque with Jack Sparrow...where do I sign??? :lovestruc pirate: They could do it dinner show style, like the luau, wouldn't that be a blast? Maybe have Hook and Jack have a contest to try to out-pirate one another? Throw in Peter, Wendy, Smee, maybe Will Turner and Elizabeth? :teeth:

You know I think I remember reading about this on the dining boards. It was talked about having it at Discovery Island and it being a dinner show of some sort. That would be great if Disney did this. I think a lot of families would be interested in it. I guess we will have to wait and see if Disney plans anything.

I agree I would love to see more boy centered meal stuff. Maybe now that disney had pixar, I woudl love a toy story or monsters inc meal

I guess that's the beauty of the pirate character idea...it is more appealing to the boys...but it has great appeal to the adults as well.;) I have to believe that all rumors will become reality...especially if PoTC 3 is a box office success.

And I am lovin the idea of the destination pirate cruise out door feast!:thumbsup2

I really agree here! Give us something for the boys! We have done the princess meals for the 2 DDs a few times, and Pooh and Mickey and Friends, But DS4 would so love something more for him. To me, it seems that there are a lot of good possibilities, but a Pirate meal--well, everybody would love that!pirate:

I would love to go to a Pirate Character meal with or without my boys!!! ;)

We went to The Blue Lagoon Restaurant within POTC ride in DLP and Jack Sparrow turned up, DH was amazed:cloud9: WDW would be that extra bit fantastic if they could incorporate this somehow.....

A friend and I were just talking about this not too long ago, I would so love to see this happen,I don't even have any kids but it would be so awesome to have a Pirates themed Character meal, lets hope that the rumors about the place in Adventureland are true!!! That would rock!!! I think they should have Captain Jack, Will Turner, Davy Jones and some of the Peter Pan characters, that would be great!!! I was sad to hear it might not open until 2008 but I guess that means I will for sure have to plan a trip back to check it out. pirate: pirate: pirate:

What a great idea! Disney should do this. I would love a pirate character meal. They should have the main characters from Pirates of the caribbean, the movie.
