I have seen references to this from time to time but know nothing about it so have lots of questions re

whats the plot?
is there fun for adults?
When/where?
Cost?
how do you book?
is it worth it?
is it good

What do you think fellow DISers?

It's a special ticket event held at M.K during the year. A special parade, where you get a rare sighting of Tinkerbell (usually performed twice during the evening) and a different firework show. where the castle is under attack. Lots of candy and beads to collect around the park, to put in your black velvet swag bag. Characters are dressed up in pirate gear, and also a good disco near Ariel's grotto in which the characters also take part.
Was dissapointed that none for August 08. Can prebook tickets and print off e-ticket or collect at the park. Best to check website for future dates and costs http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...ts?id=PiratesandPrincessPartySpecialEventPage

I am hoping that they do them next year, we loved MNSSHP and P&PP sound just as fun. DD will love them.

Thanks, any idea when dates are listed for next year and would anyone know if they usualy run this mid May through to early June?

thanks again all....I wonder how I managed to plat our first trip without DIS :confused3

Fingers crossed they might have dates for May/June like lasy year but looking at the dates it seems to be different every year :confused3

Hey Wayne, is that how you Yorkshire folk dress and are you sure it isnlt you doing the chasing :lmao: :lmao:

We did the P&PP in April this year - it was fantastic - loads of loot (no candy though - gems, necklaces and plasticised paper crowns) .... loads of dancing... loads of characters about and all the rides were walk on after about 7pm - this was REALLY worth it - 3 times in a row on BTMRR in the dark - same on POTC and buzz lightyear , NO waits anywhere.
You can enter from 4.30 without having a day ticket for the park - your P&PP ticket provides for entry.

Also, the parade was great and the fireworks WOW - the best fireworks we have EVER seen - no kidding!! And the kids loved the "surprise" bit.. It was very magical - and as we left ( after midnight!!! with a 5 year old and 7 year old!!!! - still dancing....) the CMs passed great big handfuls of left over gems to all the kids who were leaving. They still talk about it now as the best day of the holiday.

We did this both years and thought the first year was much better. That said it is worth going to if you have not been before. It is fun to dress up for it and you can get some great interaction with the cast and characters

If you have virgin TV or similar they have a Disney Travel Channel on TV choice on demand with a couple of programmes running currently about the Pirate and Princess Party and specifically the pparade -worth a watch IMHO if you are considering going although it does give the parade away!

Pirate Princess Party is so good! I went to three and worked at many many more. You don't have to dress up but it's a lot more fun if you do... and you don't strictly have to stick to the Pirate Princess theme. I encountered many couples as Prince/Princess.

Generally they are not too busy so you can walk on most rides. Although be weary if you go to one in May because they can get quite busy for the last few.

You'll also encounter a lot more characters... and rarer ones. They have Abu out who is my favourite character. He is not out very often. Jack Sparrow you'll also be able to meet... Pocahontas & John Smith... the fab 5 in pirate/princess costumes... and even Flounder at the dance party by Ariel's grotto!
