I haven't heard of the Dinner, I have heard of the Pirate Cruise. It is in the morning on certain days, and it serves a PB&J lunch. Is that what you are talking about? There are a couple of threads on the resort board, in fact I started one because I didn't know what it was. One poster had personal pictures that were pretty neat. I won't presume to tell you about it, since I am a newbie at it too, just thought you may have found something new?
I haven't heard of this dinner, either, so I'm going to move this to our restaurants board for you. I'm sure the veterans there can give you an answer.
This is an off property dinner show ( non disney) I have never been but have been looking at info for it - if you do a search for Pirate Adventure Dinner Orlando you should be able to pull the official site up - you can buy tickets from teh site or your can get tickets from many of the Orlando ticket brokers listed online -
If we decide to try this in June I will post how we liked it
We did this show in 2002 with our family and found it to be an enjoyable evening out. It's located on Carrier Drive off International Drive ( at Universal Studios end ).The basic premise is that during the pre show entertainment the "beautiful princess" is kidnapped by pirates. You sit in one of four different areas in the show which features a full size replica galleon, and cheer on your own hero who is trying to save the princess - if you have kids they can get involved at the finale too. After the show there is a disco for the kids as well. The food was OK but nothing special, but everyone enjoyed the show and it made a change from just dining out or staying at the villa. We're going to try a different show this year, maybe the Arabian Nights but based on our experience would certainly go again.
Thank you all for the information. Now this leaves me with the question of what is the pirate cruise but I'll post that on the theme park board as I think it is more relevant there.
We did the pirate show in November. We thought it was a nice evening out before we started the parks. My kids loved it and my husband was involved in the show so we got some really cute photos of him. The food was ok but the entertainment was pretty good. We got some buy one get one free tickets so it made it worth the money. I would try it.
