I have been to Typhoon Lagoon many times.

But, I noticed something there on my last visit that I had never noticed before.

Have you ever noticed all of the brightly colored nautical flags decorating the front entrance?:

You know that each of these flags represents a letter of the alphabet, right?

And, in case you don't have your nautical flags memorized, there is a handy chart right at the entrance to help you:

So, using this chart, the flags in the photo above spell out Surf's Up (actually there is no apostrophe flag- I guess sailors aren't big on the punctuation thing).

So, then, what do these flags hanging over the turnstiles mean?:

That's easy . . .they say Welcome to Typhoon Lagoon!

But, what the heck do these flags say?:

Check it out for yourself.

They spell out: Piranha in Pool.

Why?

:thumbsup2 I love your posts TCD. Only you would figure this out. :lmao: :lmao:

Just one more reason to love Disney! Their wicked sense of humor!!

That was from before when all the fish were caught. They just have not gotten around to taking down the flags.

OMG so funny!:rotfl2:
Reminds me of when my bf and I first moved to Miami Beach together. We were so thrilled with being a block away from the ocean that we were in there all the time - every single day for hours!:beach:
One day, about a month after moving there I said to him - oh look, the flag color is different today! Every day we were there, the lifeguard shack had a pretty purple flag on it - I noticed because its my favorite color. Well, I went up to the lifeguard shack and asked why today it was green? He said - oh yeah, its nice to finally feel safe in there, huh?
Turns out purple means dangerous marine life and I never knew!!:sad2::scared1:

Oh.

This is good to know.

And you are saying that they all were caught?

Maybe they should change the first word to Sharks then.

I could have sworn that I saw a couple in the little snorkeling area they have there.

Maybe its a deterrent for those who pay attention to detail?

BTW, it's nice to see your posts on another board :thumbsup2
