Piper's Practically Perfect PTR..Wish Trip! 3/2-8...Upd Pg 126- TR Link!! Hooray!

Hi Piper!!! That is super cool that your Mom let you have your own Dis name! :woohoo:
I love Splash Mountain!! It is one of my favorite rides! I really like it because it is a long ride and it's fun to sing along with the music! ;) I guess I have always been lucky because I have never gotten wet! :thumbsup2
Go ahead and ask us about any rides you have questions about...I'm sure we can all help you out. You are going to have such a wonderful time :goodvibes
One of my most favorite rides at MK is the Haunted Mansion. There is just so much to see and it seems different each time. Not scary at all.
Tracy

Thanks!!!But why are you glad you didn't get wet?

Hi Piper!! So great to see you on the boards. You are a pro already multi-quoting for replies. I love your avatar.

The only mountain I have been on at MK was Big Thunder and I loved it. We really love Spectro and Wishes at MK. I would suggest the accessible area by Liberty Tree for the parade. Bill and I love that location and you are really close to the parade people. There is also a place to sit there :thumbsup2.

Thanks!! Thanks for the info on the parades, too!!:)

Hi Piper! I like your avatar. Tessa wanted to say hi to you but she is still a little kid that can't sit still for very long. :hyper: Phoebe doesn't talk but she loves making new friends. She makes friends everywhere she goes. Your mom says you do too. I hope we'll meet you someday! It's too bad we won't be going on our trips at the same time but you can help me decide what things Phoebe and Tessa would like.

Thanks!!! I can't sit still for long either...I'm:hyper:too...Tell Phoebe and Tessa I say hi!!!

Hi, Piper! :wave2: I'm kind of a night owl, so I'm just now getting to read your post. I'm glad to see that you've got your own username, and I love the avatar. My 5 year old son has a disease that's a lot like CF. He's my wish kid. Anyway, he LOVES Tinkerbell, so she's my avatar. We might get to go to Disney at the same time that you are. If we do, we'll have to meet. I've got 3 kids, but they're all boys. They are 9 years old, 6 years old, and 3 years old. We're very excited. I'm so glad to 'meet' you, and I'll be watching for your posts!

Thanks for everything!!!I would  to meet you and the boys!!

Hi Piper! It is so cool you have your own Avatar and DISboard name! I do love Splash Mountain, you can't miss the inside, but the drop always scares me in a good way! You will get wet for sure!!! You might want to put on a poncho!!!

P.S. Okay, the person in the front ALWAYS gets wet now, and the 2nd row too, usually. Sometimes March can be cool at night, and I don't want you to get sick - so I was thinking be sure it is a really warm day and go in the daytime when you have time to dry off, or wear a poncho if it's at night. Okay, I know - I'm a grandma - can't help it :P

Thanks!!!But me? Wear a poncho? NO WAY!!!!!!!! I love getting wet!!!

Hi Piper! I'm glad to see you have your own account now! Your avatar is definitely cute! :goodvibes

Hi Amanda and PIPER!

I still think it is so cool that you got your own account! :)

Guess what...I DO get to meet you guys!

Either one of you guys can PM me...because I would love to compare notes to see when we could get together. :)

I will be in Disney on Friday, Saturday and Sunday while you guys are there! :)

Ok... I have been lurking about and reading and stuff, just have not posted- but I just wanted Piper to know that we are thinking about her. :goodvibes And my daughter says "hi!" She is also 8 and we both think you're pretty cool Piper! :woohoo:

Hello Piper! Ty is sitting next to me and says hi! He is laughing at me because the dog keeps licking my fingers everytime I try to type. He is laughing so hard right now. :rotfl2:

I am so excited that we got everything ironed out!!:banana: Looking forward to meeting you sooo much! Piper will be thrilled too, though I haven't decided whether to tell her yet! I might not, I usually go through and get everything ready for her to just have to type her responses, so I just wouldn't show her this post..mean Mommy! :lmao:

Good Evening Piper and Amanda !!!! I am getting VERY excited about my trip next month:banana::banana::banana:

You're getting so close, I'm totally jealous, Rosie! for you!

Hi Piper!!!!

So AWESOME that you got your own Dis name!!! BTW.....I LOVE it!!!!:lovestruc

Keep posting, I love hearing from you!!!!

I love getting wet on Splash too!! Especially, when it is really HOT!!!:rotfl:

So what does an 8 yr old girl do when she's stuck at home all day, and only has to do schoolwork for about 2 hrs in that time? Well, if her name is Piper she reads..and what's the best type of thing to read? Our new Passporter Guide to WDW of course!! MAGICFOR2, Tammie had asked me a month or so ago if we would enjoy having one, and the obvious answer was a resounding YES! Note the evidence.....

It came in yesterday, and I did pm Tammie right away, but my camera batteries were down, so I wanted to wait until I could post pictures with the update! I've already read it cover to cover (for the first time of what will prob be many), and Piper is about 1/3 of the way through. The information is so wonderful, everything from attractions to restaurants, including approximate costs, and even folders and a place to make notes each day!

Thank you so much Tammie, and please rest assured it will be put to good use!

:cool1: Go Piper! My daughter and I both love to read but the boys not so much :) Sounds like the book is definetley coming in handy!

Well, I must say, from one mom of a DISer to another, having a daughter on the boards is just about the coolest thing e.v.e.r!! It is really fun to see what my MKBEKKA says on people's threads, although right now, she doesn't have a lot of time to post. It is fun!!

So glad the jeep ended up being an easy fix! Being without wheels really stinks! Your mom sounds like an abundantly generous person- Kudos!

Piper,

Splash is a VERY fun ride. The drop isn't bad AT ALL, but you might get wet. We've been on it lots of time; sometimes we get wet, sometimes not.

My kids are homeschooled too, so we know what it like to fill our days with reading. We play a lot of board games too, and lots of other fun stuff!! Homeschooling is great!!

I was very happy that the jeep wasn't a more costly fix! I'm having a good time seeing how she responds as well, the 8 yo impatience does come into play though, lol. We have ups and down with the homebound..she works with a teacher 2-3 days a week for a couple hrs at a time, but then we also have about 10 hrs worth of work a week to do at home. Today was a nightmare day for school..she took 90 min to re-copy a report..yes..re-copy, not write, lol. It was one of those "chuck her out a window" moments. We start early enough that she knows it's time out of her free time when she pulls something like that, but it still frustrates me to no end. Then she couldn't find her glasses (she takes them off to do some of her nebs), we were trying to get out the door..it took me 30 min to figure out where she had put them. :headache: Once she's off her IVs, I think it's going to be time for her to have a sleepover with either Gram or her cousin, lol.

It's not always easy- that's for sure!!! But the rewards are very, very worth it. Homeschooling my LD son is like this MOST days. Drives me crazy. hang in there! You're doing great! If she's reading independently at 8, you're on track. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Liesa

I so admire those of you who can do homeschooling. I'm ready to chuck mine out a window half the time with their homework and I'm not doing anything!

YAY for Tammie, what a lovely gift and I'm so glad Piper is enjoying it so much!

You're welcome, Amanda and Piper! It makes me so happy to see Piper enjoying it so much, and I'm glad you are too. Your trip will be here before you know it! :cool1:

Piper I haven't been able to get on here for a few days because my daughter hasen't been feeling well so I just saw that you have your own screen name now! How neat. My oldest daughter want's a screen name on the DIS as well I may just have to get her one. Splash Maountain has always been one of my favorite rides and my kids loved it when we went to Walt Disney World over Thanksgiving.

Amanda I understand about imaptience coming into play with homeschooling. I homeschooled my son for two years and most of our days were like that as well, but there are definatley rewards to homeschooling and I miss that precious time with my son now that he's in school.

Hi! Guess what?Mom gave me a dis boards account!!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:Thank you for responding!:goodvibes Now to start off my 1st post!!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Check out my avatar!Cute, right?I'm tickled pink to not be in the hospital!!!Oh,and one more thing.Do you guys(and gals)like Splash Mountain at mk?Ok, thanks!bye!

Yeaaaaa, Piper has her own account!!
I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to answer to your last response before now, Mackenzie and I sat down and listed out all her favs. and what she likes to do in the parks, but the computer blanked out on us after we listed everything. We haven't had the time to sit down and do the list over again.
I will tell you this....Mackenzie's favorite ride in all of Magic Kingdom iiiiiiiiiiis..... Splash Mountain!! :yay: She would ride this ride over and over and over if we would let her.
Mackenzie was soooo excited you asked her to list some of her favorites in the parks. She does want you to know....one of the first things you need to do once your inside Magic Kingdom, is get something yummy in your hand and just take in everything as you walk around. She says Main St. bakery has a lot of yummies even for breakfast(Main St. is the street you walk down when you first get into Magic Kingdom), or Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square for funnel cakes!! :yay: Mom says you should probably wait until after lunch for these. Mackie says it's not far from the Castle, off on the left side. princess:
Mom here again! I'm glad your doing well, and I'm happy for your Big gives, I was actually thinking about putting together a auto-graph book for you (I make Mackenzie's) but someone else who is far more talented than I am is going to make you one!! This is so exciting!! I want to see pictures of it when it's done. Mackenzie wants you to see the one we made from the last trip, when I have time I will get a picture of it and try and get it on here. :) Be the sweet girl I know you are, and be sure to get your school work done, did you know I love to look up words, that's right! When you become an adult, some of the things you don't like so much when your little you learn to love as an adult. Word study is my favorite subject, now I wish I had done more school work when I was younger, if I had I would know more words now. Mackenzie is home schooled so she does all her school work at home just like you, she's a very good student just like I know you are. Please tell your mommy hi for me. :wave2:

I had to come back in here to say.....Tammie, you seriously...:rockband: for sending The Disney Passporter. It does my heart good to see people blessing others. :cloud9:
