This is a dumb question but I just bought the Pioneer Woman Potato and Onion keeper from Walmart. I could not find the third piece which is the garlic keeper and it is out of stock everywhere so I figured I would look on Ebay. I paid a total of 44 for both pieces but on Ebay it is astronomical like 250 for all three! Why would anyone buy these things on Ebay when they are substantially cheaper on Walmart. Was there some sort of shortage of these things? I wondered if it was like one of those shortage things like the Disney Figmant popcorn bucket.

From what I understand there are people that are bonkers about the Pioneer Woman stuff from Wal-Mart and when new pieces come out in their pattern, they have to have them and will pay whatever.

Thank you and who knew???? I just stumbled upon it needing some place to put onions out of my new puppy's reach.

All you need to store onions or garlic is a net bag either comes in or a plastic grocery bag hung from a nail or hook in a dark pantry or cupboard that's fairly cool. Don't twist-tie or otherwise fasten the bag shut. Onions and garlic need air around them.

I store mine in a gray Walmart bag left open inside a plastic basket with holes that's on the pantry floor where coolest. I just loosely drape the bag handles over the onions and garlic so they don't get much light when the pantry door is open.

Either keeps for 2-3 weeks easily. Potatoes keep about that long, stored similarly, but not together with onions and garlic.

Those special containers are pretty if you want them for looks. Not much point, though, since they ought not sit out on a countertop where they'll get more light and heat.

In some Walmarts there is a HUGE selection of Pioneer Woman merchandise; in others not so much.

I have a few pieces.

I LOVE The Pioneer Woman and my aunt was the first person who watched her show and so I used to watch her show each morning on Food Network and learning fun recipes from The Pioneer Woman and so she became my role model and I really admire her skills as a chef. I also got a Pioneer Woman cookbook and her magazines too. I knew about her Walmart exclusive cookware and merchandise because my dad likes to cook and has always wished to have Pioneer Woman cookware someday

I never get why having the name of some celebrity associated with any type of kitchen items makes it more popular. I would imagine they get paid a royalty for having their name attached to it, which likely means you are paying more for it then if it were just another item on the shelf. Rachael Ray also had cookware though I don't think she is as popular anymore. Most of her cooking shows were about cutting things into smaller pieces so it cooks faster.

I agree - a celebrity name on anything is just a name - 99% is made out of the same factory in China as the No-name version.

I don't collect the Pioneer Woman stuff, but I will say that it is all REALLY cute stuff. I am always drawn to it at Wal-Mart and look. The only piece I've bought is a table cloth and I get compliments on it anytime anyone comes over.

To be honest I totally refuse to buy celebrity endorsed stuff but it was the cutest canister set I could find and the price was pretty good. I did go to the Mercantile and was surprised to see some of the clothing on
Walmart was exactly the same on her site. I sometimes like to wear the kimono like duster with my jeans and she has several which look like the more pricey Johnny Was brand (like 325 compared to 25). Surprisingly, the quality is good and the price is right. Clearly it's not silk but who cares it is a trend that will most likely be gone in a year. She had the same mdse at her Mercantile which really surprised me.
