Hi everyone, we are looking at booking our first 'proper' trip to dlrp for September (we've been before as a day trip from Paris but never stayed there) and Davy Crockett looks ideal as we will have our car as we will be having a week in Northern France afterwards.

I have gone to book and can see two room types, pioneer and trapper. From reading online the only difference seems to be the pioneer rooms are located closer to the resort centre, is this the only difference? The price difference is £100 and the further out room doesn't bother us at all, but wasn't sure if the rooms were any better in the pioneer?

Thanks

We were upgraded to a pioneer room. I don't think there are many differences now. We got a voucher for a housekeeping pack of washing up liquid etc. It was very useful being close to the centre as we were 2 families with one car and it meant we could walk in easily, but I don't think we would have paid the extra for it.

These cabin names are relatively new, but I presume the descriptions will still correspond to the difference between Premium and Premium plus described here (just click on the amenities button): http://www.disneylandparis.co.uk/hotels/disneys-davy-crockett-ranch/rates-rooms/

As micksn suggested, I think the rooms/cabins are identical....just get a few extras like water, bathrobe and slippers, lol

Just out of interest....is the standard 2 bed cabin still availabe for an even cheaper price? Nicer layout in my opinion (more like a traditional cabin, with a double bed settee in the lounge, in addition to a double bedroom, and another bedroom with bunks), and on arrival they almost always offered us an upgrade to premium anyway (although we didn't always take it).

Trapper Cabins are the farthest from everything, about 3 miles back from the pool and restaurant, and have adapted for disabled.
Pioneer Cabins are exactly the same but are in between the Trapper and Premium Plus.
Premium Plus are all on Loop 15 and are a 5 minute walk to the main area. You also receive these extras:

Nespresso Coffee Machine instead of standard kettle
Tea and coffee welcome kit, including 6 coffee pods, 6 teabags, sugar and servings of milk.
Hair dryer
2 bathrobes
2 pairs of slippers
One bottle of mineral water (1 liter)
Kit beauté
Free cleaning kit, including dishwasher detergent, cleaning product, sponge and dishcloth

All of the cabins now have 1 double bed, 3 singles, and then a pull out single underneath the 3 singles making a 4th. There are no more bunks with a sleeper sofa.

Hope this helps!

Brilliant thanks for your help! No markpsych I wasn't offered a standard two bed I only had the option of the pioneer or trapper I wasn't actually offered the premium plus one either!

Thanks again everyone!
