I just got back from Disney and my 4 year old boy and seven year old girl got all involved in the pin craze. Iadmit, I did too. I do not totally understand this disboards but I was able to get all the limited pins from Animal Kingdom on Sat. and would trade for a#1 pin from the 100 years. I am going to try and get all pins for my daughter and was unable to get this one. Will others be as popular and difficult to obtain? Also, I fully understand the addiction as We stopped at Bellz outlet on our drive back to Ohio and I bought 40 of the 101 pins. I stayed at the Contemporary and met several of the big traders discussed in many of the chats and they gave me a lot of good advice on getting started. I also like how the pins are traded and not sold by individuals as my kids would not understand yet what the sharks are. I am new to all this so i really do not know if anyone will or even cares to respond. Thank you.

First of all, welcome to the DIS! I hope you find the Collectors Board to be a great source of information and a place to make some new friends as you trade pins.

There probably will be some more of the Disney Store pins that will be difficult to get. It's hard to say right now which ones will and which ones won't, though. We found out tonight from one of the board members that the stores will be limiting the first day purchases to 5 per person. Hopefully this means that future pins won't sell out as fast as the Walt & Mickey.

We also have a weekly pin chat on Thursdays at 9 PM eastern time. Here is a link to the chat area. If you have any questions about the chats, please feel free to e-mail or private message me.

I hope you will come and visit often. I think we are a very nice group of people! I think that the collectors board is almost as addictive as pin trading so jump in and get your feet wet and we try to keep the sharks away. I am a small fish ( that means a trader with just a few pins and a smaller collection) so I know how it feels. I still pretty much trade on a one for one basis and only for pins I like. But this board will give you more knowledge on trading and hopefully some new friends.

Welcome to our little family. You will soon get to know, if only by e-mail at times, some of the nicest people around.

Glad to have a new family of traders in our midst. Your gonna love this hobby, its so much fun having something you can do with your kids.

As for the pins at the Disney Store I think most of the pins will be easier to get than the Walt and Mickey pin. there will be some which are very hard to get ahold of i am sure. My guess would be the Oogie Boogie pin, Walt Bday pin, and the final gold mickey pin. But hey who knows what will happen. As for the #1 pin, list your traders from AK under a post looking for Walt/Mic pin and you might find a person who wants one and will trade you. Good Luck

And welcome to the dis family
