Pins through airport security?

Now that its getting crunch time, some questions are coming up.

1. Has anyone had any problems getting pins through the airport security. Will they set off the metal detectors or anything like that.

2. Does anyone know if there is anything like a cd with music from the ship. Kind of like the one the have for the parks. (we always buy one when at WDW).

we put our lanyards with the pins on them in our checked baggage, so not sure if they set them off. They sell CDs on board, but don't think they were of the music they played. We have made our own that reminds us of the times on board. There is a good thread with lots of suggestions on it on the board.

I can provide some information regarding the pins. I don't know anything about the cds. We are lucky enough to travel to WDW a few times a year. We also took a disney cruise last year. I have had no problems with taking my pins on the plane. We fly out of Midway in Chicago into Orlando International. I always keep my pins in my carryon luggage. They always want to inspect my bag once it goes through the xray machine. But once they see the pins they pack it back up and send me on my way. When are you going on the cruise? We will be on the beginning of August.

We leave this Sunday 7/25. and now that it is getting close all these type of questions are comming up.

Hi there,

I've become a bit of a pin enthusiast in the past couple of years. I also have had no problems in the air ports. We either pack them in our carry on, or I put the laynard in a tray before I wall through the metal detctor.

There are two CDs out, I think they're called, Living LaVita Mickey, Vol I & II. We have vol II and it does have some of the songs played on the ship. We haven't been able to locate volI locally and just haven't tried ordering on line. I'm seriously thinking about keeping track of some of my favorites during our up coming trip and mixing my own CD.

I had no problem w/ the pins. I had my pin book in my carry-on bag.
