Pins on the plane?

This might be a strange question, but do you guys carry on your trading pins or put them in your checked luggage? I would really like to keep them in my carry on, but am unsure if they would cause an issue with security. I would hate to have to remove them from my bag and throw them away if I couldn't carry them on!

You are allowed to carry them on.

They are no problem at all. My son wanted to wear his lanyard full the whole trip home. He just had to take it off at the check point to go through the machine real quick. My daughter had hers inside her carry on and her bag went through with no trouble.

I've carried pins on a plane, with no problem.

They are no problem on the plane.
In fact, when we flew Delta JFK - LHR, the attendant GAVE my son a pin.
So, I wouldn't worry about it.

No problems at all. My DD did have one of those larger pin trading books with her on one of our trips out of BWI. It confused TSA just long enough that they opened it and then sent us on our way. Our zip lock bags of pins and full lanyards have never even caused a blink of the eye.

Just yesterday, I was planning to ask this question . Good to know. I was hoping to carry the lanyards in our backpacks on the plane.

Pins on a plane, no big deal. Now, Snakes on a Plane .... well, that's a whole different answer.

They are used to seeing a lot of pins lol Just make sure the pin backs are secured enough where if you are taking the lanyards/other things off and on that they don't pop off.

Keep them in your carry on- that way you can trade at the Disney shops in MCO!

I was nervous on a recent trip. That is a lot of metal, so I was expecting to be pulled to the side, but it was no issue.

I have traveled with them internationally and domestically in my carry on and never had any issues with them. We have literally carried hundreds in our carry on and never even been questioned about them. I would say at MCO they are a very regularly occurring item. You can also trade at the MCO Disney Stores.
